Hello - I have the Comet Pressure Washer and just got it out of my storage unit. I cannot find the hose real that winds up the hose after use. Do you sell the hose wand or whatever it's called that's on the side of the unit? It's like a HEX it looks like and I just need another one so I can wind up the hose. Second, do I need to ever change the oil in the pump and if so, how often and what kinda oil do I need to use? Last, is it safe to run this on a 15amp outlet? Scott Also, sent emails and no replies yet to your comet website.
Hey Scott. Thanks for reaching out. We would have to lean on our customer support to help you answer these questions. I have relayed to them that you have sent an email off and request a timely response.
I love how ya had to overhang it off the sidewalk to compensate for the idiotic engineering design flaw of the hose inlet being a 1/2 inch from the bottom of the machine. lol for mounting it yes it works no problem, but you advertise it as a mobile unit also but will have to set it on a box or something or overhang it off a sidewalk which then doesn’t really make it mobile at that point if it has to stay in a set point in order not to snap the hose inlet off !! I’d hold your engineers feet to the flames with this one and make them change that entire thought process of the water inlet!

Thank you for posting. I took my comet AXD pump valve covers off and found two of the lower pressure valves had large pieces of rust debris stuck in them. I was able to clear them and clean them in toilet bowl cleaner and put it back together and now it works fine.
An extractor is not necessary to complete the job you can simply pull them out with you finger and some can get wedged in and might need a pick or something with a hook at the end to pull them out from behind the high pressure seal. If you have any questions during the process please contact our customer support via email: info@cometpump.com or phone: 1-800-864-1649
Thank you very much for making this how to fix video ! I wish every product I bought came with great videos like this. Does Comet still make any replacement parts for AXD 2424 - 6501 004000 ? cant find anything on your website
I used this pump to replace the pump on a Ecell 3100 PSI pump. ru-vid.comUgkxEU8wdEWW31diRsOawsCNfWEho39M27qd The model # is PWZ0163100.02 for those looking for a matching pump. It went on very easily - 10 minutes at most. Feels like a lot more power than the original but that's to be expected. Can't tell a difference when cleaning with the wand or floor sprayer. Would recommend as it was cheaper than most I found. The maintenance free aspect is definitely a plus too. Have used it through about 6 tanks of gas and have zero issues so far.
I drilled the center of them then wedged a small flat head in them then I was able to yank them out. Not pretty but I did it to replace them so I wasn’t worried about the old ones.
