A step by step tutorial on how to repair the Comet APS series Diaphragm Pump. For more information on the Comet APS series and other Comet products, please visit: www.cometpumps.com/
I have been using a Comet pump for the last 12 years. It is still functioning like new. I only replace a diaphragm once in a while. I am buying another Comet this week.
Hello Carlos. The pump is secured by 4 bolts from the gearbox to the motor. Those 4 bolts need to be removed to disassemble the pump from the motor. If it still doesn’t come off the motors shaft it may take some prying but will need to be careful to not crack the housing. We have in the past also used a torch to heat up the female part of the shaft to get the pump to release.
