Exploring and capturing London by walking, hopping on a double-decker bus for a ride, or whatever works :) I will be sharing real london scenes & sounds you can enjoy at your comfort!
You got me curios and I searched for it , before the movie Notting Hill area was quite edgy and there was a strong Caribbean influence - more so than now: very artistic, a little bit bohemian but not as famous as now. In 1999, the film came out and put the area on the map and changed the area dramatically, making it very desirable but also very rapidly gentrified due to property prices going up. So simple answer is yes!
@@london4kwalk many thanks for the answer and the search! Having watched the movie Notting Hill, me and my girlfriend, we truly enjoyed the video. We hope your channel gets the recognition it deserves! Greetings from Turkey,
Used this 406 bus service to get to school every day in the early 50's from the Spring Hotel at Ewell to the next stop past County Hall at Kingston. Journey time was 20 minutes with a service headway of 10 minutes during rush hours. Surprising how much of what I remember still exists except for my old school (Kingston Technical College) long gone.
Wow thank you so much for sharing that info John. I had no idea the line has been there for so long! Hope it brought you some good memories from earlier days and wish you a great week ❤️
It was also the route I used to get to school (Glyn County Grammar School as it was in those days!) from 1958-65. My dad was the manager of The House of Bewlay tobacconist by the traffic lights in the middle of Epsom High Street - we lived in the flat above the shop!
Great video's makes me sleepy, highlight for me was at 14.11 Man having a bike stolen, only a rental bike with a little chase down the street. there is always someone worse off than you.
Can't believe I set here and watched all 1:27.21 of this and thoroughly enjoyed it. What a great way to see London from one of the iconic busses. I hope to be able to see this in person someday, but at my age that will probably never happen.
