I remember your first video when this cheapest high mile 997.1 turbo was delivered. Great videos and man you have done a lot! And where did you get that Turbo shirt from? Cheers
if I were you I wouldn't use thinner spacer for front tires. If front tires are stick out just a little bit, it will throw a lot more sand and rock backward causing severe paint damages. Well it all matter mostly where you live though.
NO SIR! I will buy all of them for $5-10K all day, every days. The market right now is between $17-20k depend on condition & options. look it up on bringatrailers. The roofrack just my personal taste, not all want them or like, to each other opinion...hehe.
Can’t believe how much you have done to this car. Did you have the idea to buy a used 997 Turbo and completely redo all these things or just one thing lead to another? And, did you get the DSC suspension controller yet? Or maybe confirm with the manufacturer if PASM or sport Crono is needed for it to work properly. It upgrades the suspension module to 2017 technology. Made a big difference to my 997 Turbo. It’s a must have plug and play upgrade. Smooths the ride from the original stiff gut renching.
Absolutely love those Carbon buckets. I’ve seen them listed for $15k-$18k and they are absolutely the holy grail for 997. Gorgeous car and keep up the great build work. 🙏🏾
Dang you have done a lot to your car. The upgraded bumper and taillights look great I wish I would’ve done that to mine instead of just the DEPO LEDs. What type of exhaust did you end up going with?
Hey Thanks buddy, I did the Depo LEDs before switching to the full OEM 0.2 conversion, I got the Boostlogic X pipe Ti exhaust with dual Ti tips from Power Angency.
Exactly. Do you really think that mask is going to do anything against a virus smaller than the molecules coming out of someone's ass when they fart? I can guarantee if someone let out an extremely smelly fart, you'd smell it even with that mask on. The COVID virus is even smaller than those molecules. Masks will NOT protect you.
Love the video and the project! Subscribed. Curious why the mask though? Makes it hard to hear and you were alone so guessing it wasn’t due to fear of getting sick.
Looking good. You’ve done a lot to that car so far. Did you make sure you got the same diameter correct on the tires so you don’t burn up the front differential? Check out my 997 turbo with 20’ Techarts and sea blue interior with Depo LED. It’s also meteor grey. Cheers.
@@spyroz78 the OD diameter of the tires equal from front to back. There are some tire apps available you enter in your tire sizes and it will tell you if they are within like 1% of each other. It’s only an issue on the all wheel drive turbo & c4 not if the 2 wheel drive ones. If not in spec the front differential will not be in sync and burn up. There are a few RU-vid videos about it. What size tires do you have on front and back with the new 20” set up?
@@tomburns890 Wow, thanks for sharing mate. Good to know, I'm runing 245/30/20 front and 305/25/20 on rear. Thinking about going 315/30/20 on the rear?
@@spyroz78 looks like your good. Actually a little better than me I’m running 325/25/20 rears and specs to a tad over 2% difference but everyone I talked to has never had a problem with 325. On 20x12.
Bro, Please be careful. you should really place jack stands underneath because that little o-ring on the jack could fail at anytime. Mine had a slow leak and it was scary being under the car. Otherwise, keep it up man. she's gonna be perfect when you fix all the little stuff.
There are several known faults on this engine type, the Mezger M97.70. Coolant lines, spun camshafts etc. These cars are very difficult to work on, changing spark plugs is a major pain in the ass.
Hey! What was the process of getting that Sport Design Steering Wheel with Paddles mounted to your Tiptronic Car? I have the same car ... 997.1 Turbo and would like to do the same swap, please let me know the specific process and which parts and programming are needed. Thanks
there's a module you have to purchase from the dealership, they will also need to code it for the padals shifter to work, it cost roughly $2,500 to $3K
I still debating doing this.....but I bought mine in 94 from a Dr who wanted a 911. I still have and it some guy just offered me nice money . I dunno its hard.
