Based in Iowa, I'm all about fishing, camping and having fun. I chase anything with gills, from shore, kayak, or boat and enjoy sharing with others the tricks and tactics I used to catch them. New video every Monday at 4 pm central!

Nice video Spencer ! Hope you didn’t mind the double email I sent you. I have no idea how that happened . Hope you saw my picture of my 50 inch Northern Pike. It was attached to the second video. Monday May 6th caught my second biggest channel rat. 33 inches however, it was a fatty. I believe this one was much heavier than 35 inch one I caught last year. Cut Fallfish and white perch is killing it. Again, appreciate all the videos you make for us. Dan
I hooked into a 12.5lbs blue catfish last weekend fishing from the bank. He was one of the cleanest blue catfish I had ever seen. My wife’s friend wanted to keep him for dinner, but I threw him back in. A blue cat that size deserves to get even bigger. I caught two 4 pound blue’s later in the day and her friend kept them.
Hey Spencer I’m kinda a new cat fisher and I am wondering if you could give me some tips on cat fishing so I can get some big ones in I’m located in guttenberg Iowa by the lock ten dam so I’m right in catfish territory thanks hopefully you get back to me
what's the knot where you wrap a loop on itself and tie it - i like that knot for weights, it's super quick to tie. this one's neat too though, I seen it used a few timesjust a bit more complex 10:23
When Your Father turns down a Big Fish, You know He isn't there for the Fishing. He's there to relax and spend time with You. But I'm glad You had Him come reel it in anyways. Added bonus!
You'll get into some good ones, just follow your gut and don't second guess yourself on spots. Even if it dosent feel good, fish it for a few and move on. I say, make sure Skip or Wood is in the boat, you always land fish when them little fellers are in the boat.
