As someone who grew up in England and saw occasional casual racism I also saw the most integrated immigrants of any country I have ever experienced. The biggest point for some of these people not being English is the utter lack of manners and courtesy. INSTEAD, global warming will in the coming decades cause untold misery, death and economic disaster. The left should stop pretending that the poor and the economy will be fine even if we reduce GHGs. The right should stop pretending that global warming won't be an disaster for hundreds of millions or maybe even billions of people berore the end of the century.

I don't want to be that guy but I feel I have to be. The USA did not go to war over the issue of Slavery. You are incorrect sir. The north and the South went to war over economic policies and practices, cultural values, the extent and reach of the Federal government. During the war the north were maybe not doing so well and the enslaved blacks of the time didn't want to fight. To gain the enlistment of blacks Abraham Lincoln stated that any black slave that joined the fight for the north would be free. He did this not because he had some huge moral issue. He did it to gain the consent of the black folks to fight for the north. It's fact, well documented and well simply. The truth. Please stop saying the USA fought a war over slavery, it's not true. They were in a war and needed soldiers. They used the issue of slavery to get blacks to fight for them. Thusly Abraham Lincoln was as racist and abusive towards black folks as everyone else.
