I really liked the video, the editing and the track. Congratulations this achievement. One day I will do this trail. Greetings from a hiker from Brazil.
You can go along the north shore of spray lakes from bryant creek warden outpost to canmore. I did that in the opposite direction in 2011. 40 km, mostly of road walking. Not recommended. Mt Shark parking lot is pretty busy, so is Smith-Dorian HWY. Best to somehow shuttle a car.
Hi, Alex! This video helps a lot as I am going next month! Mind sharing your filming gear? Also, did it involve a lot of walking away and walking back to the camera? Thanks
Thank you for you comments :) Yeah I have a Sony A7C Sirui carbon tripod Rode microphone Tamron lens 17-28 DJI mini 3 pro drone And too many batteries 😅
Thank you for all the information (I watched your video with English subtitles) 😀 I will start the Crossing in 2 weeks, but I will take more time than you, I will follow the suggested 11 days itinerary plus one "flexible" day. Same than you I wish I could do it all just by walking and not depend on bus or hitchhiking at some places. The taxi in the beginning really sucks, I hoped there would be a bus, but it is not running during school holidays it seems. So I will have to add an expensive taxi to my list of expenses... However, I feel excited, let's see how it goes, video will come on my channel 😁
Have a good trip 🙂. 11 days is more reasonable ahahahah😅. Yeah the hitchhiking suck, but everything else is so good that you forgot about it . Have a good. Send me your video when it's done :)
Nice footage! We’re doing the trek in Sept. A bit backward the first day Chamonix to Lac Blanc as a day hike then officially starting day 1 counter clockwise from Les Houches the next day thru to Argentiere. We will be missing the section from Tre le champ to Lac Blanc at the end, if that makes sense. Are we missing out much here, scenery wise?
It's not the part that your gonna miss the most, but there still some good views on Chamonix and Mont Blanc. Its alot of way up. Actually your gonna miss the ladder. It's a iconic part on the TMB
In August I am attempting the "longer" crossing of Lofoten. Wish me luck, start will be in Reine, end will be in Narvik. Not a speed game nevertheless, first I have to figure out if it's even possible!...
Hi Alex, Thanks so much for this very nice video. I just want to ask how difficult is the hike up the hill from Forsfjorden port going to Tennesvatnet. I am planning to do this trek next month, and I am looking at the map, and that part looks very intimidating, which makes me worry I might not be able to do it. Thanks so much!
Merci Alex.
Thanks for the amazing video. I'm hiking my TMB in FIVE WEEKS!!!! I'm so freaking excited. I hope I have great weather and very few showers. I'll be doing the classic route with my friend over the course of 10 days. I want to take it easy, enjoy the beauty and reflect on who I am and who I want to be. I think it'll be a sort of pilgrimage. I plan to make a video as well...though it won't be as amazing put together as yours. Thanks again for the inspiration!!!
Thanks for the comments, maybe we gonna cross paths on the trail. I'm going to Chamonix end of July for another trail in the area. Good luck with your trip. Send me your link when your video is done :)
I would like to watch such a film with sounds of nature. I dream so much about silence and the sounds of the wind, the rustle of grass and leaves. I really liked the views in your film, the editing too, I felt curious about what these spaces sound like. But it was still great to watch this video with music, thank you!
You can watch some of my other film. For this one yes music it's really present, but I have other film with more ambiant 🙂. Thanks for you comment, really appreciate the feedback 🙂
A beautifully made interpretation of your hike on the affric kintail way. I did this trail in April and loved it. The peace of it all, the scenery and the calm. Thanks for sharing your experience 😊

Absolutely stunning! The way this video showcases the beauty of hiking in the Scottish Highlands is just incredible. Hats off to you Alex. Amazing work as always
Thank you . If you want to get more, I have a 30 minutes film about my trip :) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CRdHchHl4po.htmlsi=lSJIOpcY0jHSwFhv
For the route I draw it myself, from there I contact ranger in Icelandic park to ask if everything was possible. After that , on the trail, I had to change a little bit of thing directly on the spot. For resupply, I had in my backpack 14 days of food (most of the weight of my backpack 😅). At the end it took me 10 days. Feel free to ask me anything
