Love the show. Been heavy equipment mech.for 32 years now..but when you have Casey on.I can't watch...he is the meaning of the word goof..the way he spoke to a driver on his show .was so wrong...No respect .I told him if he spoke to me like that..he would be going to the dentist..he's a truck driver..he needs to get over himself...
One issue thought you guys where gonna put new idler wheels on it but you didnt it would be easier with the track off than having to take them apart again 😊
Wow, I’m genuinely impressed by the durability of that old excavator! It's incredible to see how it keeps going strong despite its age. It’s a true testament to how well-built machines can stand the test of time when taken care of properly

Welding up bogies is the absolute worst way to hold bogies up, i saw a bogie fall down on a guys arm using that method when the weld did not hold onto the cast bogie pin cap, if you get 2 pieces of 4 x 2 hardwood and wedge them down the back of the idler from the top and hammer them in with a 14lb hammer to make them tight then get a 6ft length of 3/8 chain with a single dog and loop it over and around rollers 4 & 5 and dog it off. Then when you lift the machine up the chain holds the middle bogies up and the timber jammed in the idler the end bogies, when you put the frames back on and lower the machine down takes 2 minutes to remove the timber and chain. No mucking around with welders and cutting shit off.
Those growsers on those track pads are gone. I have never used itr undercarriage parts, how to they compare to OEM caterpillar undercarriage parts? I need to replace the undercarriage on my D6 very soon.
Nothing better than the sound of a Cat engine... Those new tracks look really good. They should have some serious bite and last a long time. It's too bad you had to replace the track frame too.
When are you going to source a Lincoln pneumatic grease pump that sits on a 33 gallon barrel of grease. Take a strong pallet and mount it with a small gasoline powered air compressor so you can move it around easily ?
