Pretty wild that the truck could run and operate to the point where it was not noticeably broken. Compare that beast to a modern civilian daily driver vehicle… a tiny problem like a funky o2 sensor and the vehicle will cry and complain and de-rate itself to 35mph and run like it just threw a rod. 😂I love old Cat equipment. Stuff was built right.
Was about to ask the same. It will be interesting to see if there's any damage. Going to be really funny if all the oil squirters are in place and that oil squirter was just an extra coming along for the ride 😂
Too bad about the engine, thats an expensive fix. Being in Northern Alberta, I see these trucks, and much bigger, go by and have been in 9ne of oil field shops, the fact that you are doing what your doing with limited resources is amazing. Great video
Right before I left my last company, the same happened to an old 769, boss decided it wasn't worth a new engine, got towed to the parts yard, maybe fix one day!
I'm a logger. I like to log. A lot. But that means that you have to have equipment that works. And that means that you have to work on equipment. I despise working on equipment. I just subscribed to your channel. (Stupid logger. LOL)
3306 got same ditcher barber-greene with banister pipelines 10 years ago.he found somebody put washers from bolt bin on head yup.he got cat kit rebuild before too late.i am glad pick up on time before seize.😮
I came there from Catey's channel. I initially like to watch all these off-road recovery, and found Catey's channel this way. I find his truck recovery activitied to also be really interesting and entertaining. But now that, mining truck maintenance, it only gives me anxiety. I've got the feeling that every part that you remove could squeeze you to death if you do something wrong 😅. It's nerve wracking 🥲. You are doing a heal of a job, I'm not even dreaming of feeling like I could manage it even if I had the knowledge and all the knows-to. I wouldn't trust myself to be enough aware of what I'd be doing. Great job and keep safe.
Took a little bit of investigation but hearing casey talk about you made me think I know who that is. So I came to your channel to see if I was right. Yep I never met you but I worked on some your Wheelers with hamms offroad. Lol
what a beast great video, speaking of service trucks did u ever use old international service truck u bought used awhile back and did the video were u drove it back across the state to your shop?
It may be time to add a bigger bay to your shop! You have been working on some monsters. Hopefully you will tear this engine down to see what happened. Thanks.
Gotta love that Atomic dcf921! Those things are so nice! Super powerful for the tiny size they are. Dcf900(899 gen 1) is so big, unless you really need the torque & power! 🛠️🔧🔩⛓️👍🏻👌🏻🚜🚚🚧⚠️🛢️
