I used that one and have it hooked up to a rear back box ( to charge my light , compressor etc , also has a voltage meter) . I just want to put a second or near battery bars to run second phone / GPS .👍
I’m actually up North in Australia for our winter ( as it’s more tropical North - in the southern hemisphere. So I only have my Honda CRF 300 Rally up here . BUT while I’m away am getting a rear shock developed by “ IKON suspension “ in Australia. I know the owner Geoff and have brought plenty of suspensions upgrades off him in the past . Will let you know the outcome 👍
I've got a bit over 20,000 km on my v85tt. Can't ride it at the moment 'cause just had my right knee replaced. Love this bike, it's been perfect for the rough roads of DownEast Maine and Canada. I agree the rear shocks needs an upgrade. Curious what you replace yours with. Safe travels.
Thanks 🙏 mate I love mine , it’s my First Guzzi , have owned a Ducati, Aprilla and ITALIAN- made 1130 Benelli . I do love the style and build quality, handling of Italian bikes .
Hello! I'll soon have driven 10,000 km in 12 weeks with my V85TT. Italy, Tuscany and Sardinia as well as in the Alps. The Guzzi is extremely reliable and is simply unbelievable fun. Italian motorcycles always have the reputation of not being particularly reliable. But those days are long gone. Here in Europe, two motorcycle magazines (Italy and Germany) have driven the V85TT over 50,000 km in an endurance test without any problems. I hope you have lots of fun with your Guzzi. Greetings from Bavaria
Great video! I have the RallZ on the rear and the Desert H/T fatty front on my DR650 and they are awesome tires! They do well in sand and dirt! Thanks for the review! Cheers!
I really like those pipes. I can't find anything in SA Did you say they made in Oz mate Do you remember the name of them please and did they make a difference.
If you can choose between a yamaha xt 660 r 2015 10 000km or a swm superdual 650 x 2018 with 11000km , price is almost the same wich would you choose now ? For riding on the T.E.T
I personally would pick the Superduel as it’s better off road ( due to basically being an enduro bike - the RS 650 or older Husky TE630 with a larger tank , different seat , crash bars etc ) and also better on road having the six speed box . Just make sure it has updated mapping as the 2018 onwards E5 models ran lean to meet emissions. The Yamaha is basically a trail bike ( soft off roader ) only 5 speed box ) But the one BIG advantage is the Yamaha reliability and parts availability.
No , get your RS 650 seat modified from an upholsterer ( that does bike seats ) that’s what I done ✅ “ I also modified my Superduel seat - but they are limited as the fuse part in the seat pan makes it difficult to modify.
We're heading to the desert in a couple of months and still deciding on tyre choice. Currently running a Pirelli Scorpion Rally Race front and D606 rear but I'm considering a Motoz RallyZ for the rear ( DR650). How did you find the MT31 and RallyZ combo in sand. Cheers
You mean M21 not 31 ? , M21 fantastic for everything ( hard to believe I know and not expensive ) Are you riding to the desert or trailer ? If trailer HIGHLY recommend the Motoz Desert HT rear . ( very noisy on road fantastic off ) but if riding Rallz, Goldentyre GT723 or even the trusty 606 again .
I'm about to run almost the same combo. Bought a Road 6 rear & front but the front pulls to the left too much when i take my hands off the bar. Turning right is also harder. This seems to be a problem with the tire itself, as others online complain about the drift too. Ordered a roadtec 01 front as a replacementm curious to see how well they work together.
Sold mine after 20,000km , and pretty much flogged it on the bush most of the time . Only had one ☝️ major issue a cooked rectifier ( due to a wire shorting out ) a problem that has been EXTREMELY rare . A few small issues, no more than any other bike . Had mine for 5 years . The RS 650 are basically the same same as the old Husky TE630 from 2009 - 11 , and SWM basically got the rights to build the same bike after KTM brought Husky . So the engine has been around 10 years and a proven motor . AJP PR7 users their engine and so does the British company CCM . So must be good 👍
So good mate. I have A 2018/19 X with just 2000 kms on it and it just hammers , yes suspension is firm but who cares. Very underrated bike. Your seat looks good . Where did you get that seat? Keep up the Vids. Hope to see you on the tracks in and around Toolangi. Cheers
I have just bought a almost new SWM Superduel X 2018 - 2800KS on the clock. However the front end feels very twitchy. Just wondering of you have tweaked with the front end of yours? Cheers
Go on the Australian Benelli Australian fb group and talk to Rolf Wittwer he is an expert at the 1130 in regards to Serving, turning, parts and overall reliability of the bike
Fitted one to a T7 and didn’t like it. It kept sliding in corners then gripping. I went back to Pirelli scorpion rally race mst more expensive but a far better tyre. The tyre fitter called it the aggressive tyre. 90% off road tyre and noisey.
I like Your style bro! Eveyrything made to be functional. I did a trip long about 1000km on my babe last time and first thing I will upgrade is the saddle. High windshield and handguards I allready have and they do the job.
Not sure if you have watched mod 3 , “ the biggest mod “ a Suzuki Vstrom 650 front forks , wheel , fork brace , upgraded brakes etc etc , just got back from a four day trip it was fantastic . The 19 inch front wheel gives better tyre selection.
