Hello and welcome to my channel. My name is Andrew and I am a farmer in northwestern France. All of my videos are of things that interest me and I try to make them interesting and useful. Most of my content is about power tools, I like to review and repair them. I do a fair amount of woodworking so there’s also the odd video about that. I do some metal working although I don’t really film my metal working (at least for the moment). Antique tractors and farm equipment are one of my favorite things so you can expect to see a lot about them on my channel; repairs, restorations and the machines at work. Pretty much anything that’s simple and has a lot of steel on it interests me, trucks, tractors, construction equipment, even cars. I hope you enjoy my videos!
I like to watch reviews on products I've already bought LOL , that saw and the table was definitely a good buy, the portability is very nice with these
I too am happy with the purchase of that saw, it’s still going strong although it’s not quite as precise as when it was new for some reason (I’m talking about a millimetre over the 300 mm cut width). I have a few Bosch tools and they are all quite good but most of my tools are Makita or Dewalt Thanks for watching
Thanks for the demo, very helpful. Remember to wear a good quality mask when sanding, your lungs wit thank you for it! - I get that you weren't wearing one just so you could speak for the video :)
So you say you can use a dewalt 18v lithium XR battery in a 20v dewalt power tool! What about if I used a 20v dewalt XR battery in an 18v Dewalt power tool? Yes or no?
Hah! Love it, ‘Teal’ taking apart ‘Yellow,’ and old School Makita at that! Half the time You're a bit out of the frame; Try tilting camera up some, juss sayin… and part of the time cant see what’s you're doing at all? Some really good detailed explanations at times! Good catch at that washer, very important. Good catch on some of the other parts. And that’s Her! Good job Man!
I’ve just bought one of these so this was really useful. My blade is about half a degree off however, try as I might I can’t find any video on RU-vid that gives a good explanation how to adjust the blade. Any clues would be really helpful.
Apparently the charger is not working well, since when you measured it before charging it it was at 12.13 and after taking it out of the charger it measured 12.03. In addition, lithium batteries differ from nickel batteries by their voltage of 1.2 to 3.7 so it is impossible for the original charger to give you the full voltage value of a lithium because it was designed to charge only nickel cadmium batteries and not lithium. The value at full load should be approximately 12.60v.
I snapped my only 3.3mm drill bit for drilling holes for M4 tapping due to chuck wobble. I can't just run out and buy one because they are not a common hardware store item over here. So cranky with Dewalt man.
How well did the superglue hold up? I need to repair a KA200, and the whole base is unglued. So I'm wondering if superglue would be enough, or I need to use some other, stronger adhesive.
The superglue did an ok job but I would suggest finding a better adhesive if you want a more lasting job. The part I glued on with the superglue started to come off again after about five sheets of sandpaper.
@@toolreviewsandrestorations Thank you! That confirms my initial suspicions, and will save me some trial and error. I'm planning to try with some JB Weld I have at home. Not too sure, but I understand that it could be more sturdy and durable.
@MayecRancel let me know how it goes. I’ve given up on this sander because the switch gave out and I have a nicer sander but I might need to glue a base back on at some point in the future
Just got mine delivered today. Looking at reviews as I do haha. Good tip on the chuck for the 1st 20 times. I've read it's an issue but maybe just needs to be used a few times :) Thanks for the review!
Quick question I know you mentioned not putting it too close to the end or it will break, makes sense. I noticed the bottom half of the bit is round and not spiraled, is that the only place you should set the countersink set screws on?
Yes, you should only set the screws onto the rounded part but I wouldn’t sweat putting the screws on the spiraled part as long as you don’t force the countersink into the wood too hard. Thank you for watching
@gregroth4696 yes, there is a clutch, make sure that the black collar on the front of the drill is turned so that the little drill symbol is lined up with the arrow on top of the drill just in front of the speed selector switch
@@toolreviewsandrestorations Yep, still slips. Thank you for responding. It works pretty well as a drill not so much as an impact wrench. Thanks again.
I’ve used pinless blades and they do work but they have a tendency to slip out of the jaws so I think it’s worth the extra cost to just get the proper blades
the old cork gaskets 😮😮 aren't much because they leak they draw up and won't hold 2 the surface U are better off 2 use the paper gaskets still use gasket sealer on both sides U would think 🤔😮 by now there would better gaskets 4 that the rubber gaskets W the metal tabs are better U have 2 find a bearing company that carry them and match them up 😊😊OMG 2 14 2O24
Yes, the later tractors came with 12v electrical equipment and over time a lot of them got converted to 12v. However if your starter motor is indeed a 6v than you need to clean all the connections and get the motor rebuilt because a 6v starter that is almost dead or with poor connection to the battery will still start on 12v
ok my starter motor runs with an 12v battery better than with an 6v battery, i cleaned it und repair ist und test it lot times@@toolreviewsandrestorations
