Yes , Dremel is a very good tool for precision work to be handled with great care. The one thing you must remember is vibration. Cheap knock off bits are not a good idea to use other than Dremel brand as Dremel has a higher standard for balance precision. - Very Important...One good tip for you is - If you need to use the unit for long periods of time and it starts to get hot as those motors do generate quite a bit of heat due to the high amperage they draw - let it cool with the unit running on low with no load and allow the Armature to cool. Keep the vents as clean as possible at the back and around the front where the fan is - Good video Andrew. Keep on with your channel and share more. You do a good job that's very much appreciated. I worked in a repair shop at one point where those Dremels were in a lot of the time because of the switches and the variable speed control were prone to burn out, the older units back in the day when they were black. The ones today being Blue like yours Pretty neat bud.
Thank you for watching and thank you for your tips. I clean my often with compressed air, I don’t think it’s ever overheated. It is great for precision work, especially for carving numbers in wood and doing delicate sanding
I have 2 Dremels, both the old black barrel model, both had to be repaired from new,I blew up had the motor fully rewound, heavyer wire so it's way more powerful, the other one had to have the slide switch replaced, this was the first time I turned them on as new,I wasn't happy at the time but I have used them a lot since then and had no problems since I have a flexible shaft on one so I don't have to keep swapping out parts,I use mine mainly for cutting stews, bolts down, the wire wheels I use for cleaning spark plugs, how did you go with your tractor clutch adjust?? great video as always cheers mate 👍👍🇦🇺
That’s interesting about your dremels. I’m not that surprised though since they aren’t that strong. I really have only used my Dremel a handful of times but I have had it for over a year and a half. As for the tractor I’m still waiting on brake pads but I’m going to reinstall the final drives this afternoon and if I have time I’ll adjust the clutch too. I’m also going to put a slightly heavier oil in the gearbox. I can’t really test it yet though since there’s no brakes and I don’t dare go out on the road without them. Thank you for watching! Cheers
@@toolreviewsandrestorations no you don't want to drive it without brakes, my Dremels were made in Mexico,I was told by the repair company which did the warranty repair that it was a common problem ,poor quality control but I don't know where the current ones are made,I'm guessing probably China, take care and do a video of your tractor when you get all the work done cheers mate 👍👍🇦🇺
