I hung out with this guy at the mall here in Knoxville in like 1992 or 1993... He was maybe 10-11 years old... He was my friends cousin or something and he brought him along... I didn't really know he was famous 😂
He was only in his late 20s when he died. But here, he looked 2 decades older. Substance abuse has really taken a toll on him. He was very talented but did not have the right people to guide him
He became an adult in his childhood... Having divorced parents and being neglected made him a rebel and a constant affection chaser. He was always surrounded by adults and his friends and even girlfriends were always older than him. Brad had only his grandmother taking care of him and by his 20s he had lived too much for a young man. By the way, he never stopped being handsome, he was just overweight but his face was gorgeous.
I've read that Brad had his baby and baby's mom visit in his hometown, they all got the best vacations ever, later he knew that the mom of his child didn't accept to stay in the United States with him, as he had proposed her to stay to be part of their lives. In that same period of time, he learnt that his grandmother had brain cancer and was dying inevitably, so he went on depression one more time... he started 'partying' again. I have read a lot about him in the last weeks, and I think it was his time. Brad had had lived with his grandmother all his life, he needed her to be safe, to feel loved. His life wouldn't have been good without her, so God brought them two and reunite them in heaven. I know he was a very good, humble man. He deserved to have a good ending, but somehow he wasn't destined for it. This must be the best way of die he could had. That's what I'd like to believe, after all the interviews and articles I've read about him. Rest in peace, Brad 💕
Hollywood was so obsessed with him because he legit looked like a younger Marlon Brando and had the talent too! He would have gone so far if he had a good family raising him. His Grandma loved him but he didn’t listen to her
We remember you. From all over the World brother. The kids of Europe, Asia, Africa, America,... Every kid with Tv, eyes and ears, remembers you. Whish you knew that Love and God's speed from Balkans
What he's saying is happening to all of us some people love struggling to make ends meet so they can go in the house and just eat sleep drink while people on the other side of the world is BORN rich what I think he's saying is just sitting by yourself high on drugs and eating u don't know u suicidal after u get done smoking and eating your bored then god gonna fuckin manipulate you to think being in this world if I was born somewhere beautiful I'm not happy smoking eating damn sure sleeping
Wow he looked terrible for 25 years old. Guess that’s what substance abuse will do to some people. Larry Clark said that Brad was shooting coke before filming Billy and that he looked about 40 years old…
I was a volunteer on the set of "Tom and Huck" and where I met Brad Renfro. He was a nice kid but at 12 or 13 he was already chain smoking and seemed like he was high most of the time. Everyone on the set kind of knew that he wasn't long for this world. He also apparently had a girlfriend who he was sexually active with and looked to be in her twenties. It raised some eyebrows but everyone seemed to look the other way. Personally, at the time I thought she was a relative or just one of the crew.
Why dosent the law intervene, why isn’t Hollywood raided by the cops, why aren’t these producers, and directors in jail… why r they allowed to get away with mistreating children..
watched sleepers like 2 years ago and still remember how sad it made me, today i decided to play the client just bc and ended up searching for the kid and turns out it was him on that movie too! i was shocked to find out he died, hope he rests in peace, find it really disrespectful that people are speculating about his private life and childhood, no one's destiny is written, i wish he had gotten help earlier but nevertheless he was so talented, found it really cute how his grandma raised him, also saw some quotes about his coworkers talking about how he motivated them, he really loved acting, and i choose to remember it that way! will be watching his movies and as he said he will be remembered for that ❤
If that was October of 2007 he only had 3 more months to live and was probably high during the interview. So sad. He's 25 in this here and looks 20 years older.
Amazing that it was the same guy who was in the Client and Apt pupil , maybe he just gave up as he had relied on his looks and they were gone by this time ?
It's like he knew he wasn't going to make it. A great actor with so much potential. It's unfortunate that his death was over shadowed when Heath Ledger died.
