I bought Chanel Antaeus about 20 years ago and at the time I found it a bit overpowering but lately as I’ve been running low on my other fragrances I decided to start using it. Guys the usual top end fragrances like Creed and Tom Ford ranges don’t even come close. ❤❤❤
Now consider the fragrance Bandit from the same house and then wrap your mind around the fact that both fragrances come from the same perfumer😮 created in the same decade!
Fantastic review. I love your authenticity and passion. You haven’t posted a fragrance review in 3 years. I really miss your reviews. You’re one of the very best.
House Of Orto Parisi still maintains its nuclear level though..i guess we are all "late to the party"....😢😢 I see now how many Niche houses will accumulate dissapointed buyers AWAY from the designer houses...($$$$)
Getting a sample of overturn and lric man tomorrow im sure ill love them i had to get a full bottle of reflection man 45 and jubilation 25 im falling for this house
hi great video. i am also a rose freak and indie perfumer who uses rose damask, bulgarie, and de mai absolutes in my fragrances. the rose that blew me away came initially as s free sample from Saudi Arabia. Thierry Wassers Rose Nacree du desert 2012 edition. i bought it when it was £400 including shipping from Saudi. It is exquisite and contains incense amber and real oud. The 2016 reformulation isn’t quite as good but worth a try . I own both. The prices gave sky rocketed but Guerlain’s in house master perfumer has created in my opinion an incredible perfume that lasts forever on clothes. It was made for the middle eastern market. I own Amouage Lyric Man and Woman full bottles and POAL also Une Rose EdPFM full bottle. After smelling Rose Nacree du desert I have stopped searching. But thanks for tour great informative video and ill get some samples. I blind bough poal and une rose and Lyric full bottles a practice I have long stopped doing👍🏻🙏🔱
Nice list. I just ordered Eau Sacree from Heeley. I’ve heard great things about it. Hopefully it’s nice…blind bought it based of reviews. Sound be in next week
Another excellent video -- I'm buying several decants based on your recommendations and I cannot wait to put my nose on them! The warm months are just around the corner, and I would love to add some "spicy" new scents to wear during those months. Hope you don't stay away too long, but understand you're probably living your life! Ciao bello
Just stumbled upon your channel and love your genuine reviews which are often accompanied by interesting historical notes. You exude passion for perfumery, which I love to see in your expressions and body movement -- it is unique, sexy and it imbues your reviews with a rare authenticity that makes me want to watch. Thank you for your efforts! I hope you return to continue more content (last video is 2 years old). By the way, Bois d'Argent is absolutely gorgeous! I LOVE wearing it and can't stop smelling myself when I do. I also love Ambre Nuit, but to your point, that might be because I'm new to fragrance experiences at this level. Looking forward to trying some of your alternatives.
My number one is Roja Chypre Extraordinaire. The compositions mentioned are a good selection imo. Oriza Legrand Chypre Mousse would also be in my top 10.
It’s definitely not a fragrance for young guys who go clubbing. It’s a very mature, super sexy masculine, rich dark fragrance for men in their mid thirties and over.
Guerlain extreme used to be so strong. Have a new bottle and i swear its not as strong as before. Thought i was crazy. Lost my smell or something. But now i understand...
Great video. I do own (Beachhut Man, Interlude Man). I really want to purchase Journey, Reflection, Lyric, Royal Tobacco, Jubilation). Please tell me where is Xerjoff on the tier system? Thanks very much
Im surprised you didn’t like Pikovaya Dama. Its probably one of the most hedonistic, luxurious fragrances I’ve encountered. Someone else described it as “royal, rich ass baby powder” which is sort of accurate, it’s like the most luxurious expensive soap you can imagine. Something about powdery fragrances that make me think of royalty and very high quality perfumes. If Roja Haute Luxe leaned more powdery than resinous, it would smell like Pikovaya Dama.
Point of order...epitome has 4 syllables...e-pit-o-me. I have tried to like Chanel #5 my entire life (I'm 66). I realize that millions of men and women the world over adore it...but not me! I can finally articulate why: it has vetivier and patchouli as base notes...PLUS a deliberate overdose of green aldehyde (a synthetic compound designed to hold fragrance accords together. There are multiple variations of aldehydes...but Chanel #5 was made with a green aldehyde.) Combine those three together and you get a green overdose that doesn't separate or reveal the other notes. My nose does NOT like it...but now I know why!
