Moto ASMR on the GS. GSMR. Get it? No chit-chat, just braap braap on my 2020 BMW R 1250 GS Rallye, recorded from my POV-it’s just me, you, and the bike.
Hi, short question, are these the original BMW Handguards where you mounted the QUICK FLIP MIRROR MOUNTS on or are these after Markets Handguards? If yes, can you tell me witch one you use for the Mirrors. Asking because i like the look of it and like to try a different style thats allowed here in Germany
Hi there! These are SW-Motech Kobra handguards with an aluminium mounting bar, specifically made for the 1250GS. The mirrors are mounted on the aluminum part to make it super strong. OEM BMW plastics could break easily when or if the bike tips over but they can also be fitten on the plastics. You can also look for Barkbusters, these also have the aluminum bars. You can probably go for anything similar and it would work just fine! Hope this helps✌️
@gsmrmoto Hi, Thanks a lot, i think at first i will try to fit them on the OEM Handguards. If it doesn't fit so good i know now wich one i can get where it will fit. Nive Vids btw. Love it
It’s better in real life to be fair. And probably more noticeable my later videos. It’s also not as loud as an Akra without DB-killers, there’s a nice deep grunt to the loud mode which is for sure not like standard 😉
I’m not sure what the exact sizes would be, I bet you can find that online 😉. I’m about 1.86cm and I’ve got the seat on the “tall setting” and I can flatfoot if I stretch my legs.. I usually hang over to one side cause it’s more comfortable ✌️
Klopt deels!
@5m31s I know that road very well (or one just like it), when I was touring there in 2019. I remember blasting past all the cars at motorway speeds and wondering why all the cars were driving slower.. reckon it was average speed cameras. :) Ah, I see now why a GPS is helpful, I was driving without one, and memorising road numbers. :) Still do this today.
Hi! It’s been a while since I upgraded. If I remember correctly, the bike felt smoother and “more eager” to go, so I guess mostly a positive difference in torque. I’ve hardly ever gone full throttle, so I’d not know how much more powerful it would feel compared to OEM. It’s a nice and easy upgrade to do yourself and I do remember being happy with the change 👌👌 I hope that helps!
@@gsmrmotoYeah I suspected it's been a long time, but thanks for your quick answer, it helps ! I'll put an Jekill & Hyde exhaust on my new big boy, and i'll surely put this one DNA Filter. I also added shunt on manifold valve (always openned) which is great !
Thanks!
Ah thank! This was back in November. A month later they enforced a 30km/h speed limit in the city center, so not that great anymore-beautiful though! 🙌
New sub from a fellow moto tuber from wet and windy Scotland. Glad to see Amsterdam has recovered nicely from Storm Poly in July. I've never seen rain like it, and that is saying something coming from Scotland!!!!! Our ferry from Newcastle was delayed for 5 hours put at see. The authorities just closed the harbour to all incoming shipping. I really enjoyed my time in The Netherlands. Roll on next year!! Cheers, Stevie.
Heya @soggybawsmoto! Awesome, welcome! 🤘 We share a similar wet climate, haha. Though I imagine Scotland does have more rain! Been quite a lot of wet and windy storms this season. Great to hear you’ve enjoyed the Netherlands 😁 One day I’ll visit Scotland as I’ve heard and seen many great bike routes. Stay safe mate! 🙏
