Jesse Malin is a New York based musician who first rose to fame with the influential punk band D Generation, and has since embarked on an acclaimed solo career. His Ryan Adams-produced debut, ‘The Fine Art of Self Destruction’ earned him comparisons to Neil Young and Tom Waits for its ragged, poetic beauty. Malin blurs the lines between singer-songwriter and punk rocker with a string of celebrated solo albums, including ‘Outsiders’, ‘New York Before The War’ and ‘Sunset Kids’. Malin has recorded with Bruce Springsteen and Green Day, performed on The Tonight Show, Conan, and Letterman, and shared stages with everyone from The Replacements and The Hold Steady to Bob Weir and The Gaslight Anthem. A prolific writer and relentless road warrior, Jesse Malin continues to circle the globe with his band and produce critically acclaimed studio albums.
I agree but will check those songs mentioned again.Just haven't been able to get into very much since "Magic" Sometimes gotta hear a few times.Loved this first-time I heard it and the sax is phenomenal.
Good cover of a great song (I still prefer the original). I saw Jesse do a killer version of this song in San Diego. Best wishes for a continuing recovery
love jesse get well soon , love bruce great job , cant wait to hear album,, love broke radio ,, no suprise its the two of them again ! , im going to write a song right now inspired by this story ,,,calling it ,,, the magical powers of rock roll ( can heal the mind body and soul )
Great tribute, looking forward to the full album. Love both their music, and sending positive vibes to Jesse. Saw him play some great gigs over here in the UK when his first couple of solo albums came out. the DJ Bob Harris played his stuff on his radio show and I was hooked on first listen. As for Bruce well he’s been a part of my musical life since I was 10 in ‘85.
I could use a friend In a world of vampires and werewolves Them haters Them hunters The destroyers of joy Enjoying the pain of others Showing false compassion to gain trust They must be revealed The ones who cheat, lie, and steal The ones unreal
we love Bruce for all the support he gives to Jesse Malin we love to hear and listen to him delivering beautiful songs, Bruce take care of yourself and God protect you We LOVE you❤
This is incredible, Jesse! I love the song when you sing and when the Boss sings it. I think I noticed Adam Duritz did a cover of Oh Sheena??? Can I find that somewhere?
This album of covers has not yet been released. Only a couple of tracks are available at the moment. I think this and Billie Joe armstongs version of black haired girl.
Didn't know Jesse until I heard the Boss' cover of "She don't love me now." Love the Boss, but now I love Jesse Malin. His own version still sets the bar.
