Um, if "they were "killed with a magnum" there wouldn't be a neat little hole in the front and a slightly larger one in the back exit wound. Anyhow ........ I do realize this fine movie is fifty years old. That being said, I ALWAYS couldn't STAND Hal Holbrook in ANYTHING, ever. Makes me turn the channel regardless of what he's in. Literally anything. I just couldn't stand that actor. NOT that anyone cares of course, and I understand that. LOL.
What always struck me about this scene was the first officer and navigator sitting absolutely still as Callaghan went into action, which is exactly what professionals would do in that circumstance

I can't help visualizing "Manhattan" since it was the first time hearing it as a kid. As far as being stuck with an image linked to music I'll take it.
