I wish these guys (Bob, Brian, Vince & Curtis Calderón) could do a reunion tour, even if it's just once so fans, including me could see this genius musical chemistry one more time.
Can we get a reunion tour of these four guys (Brian, Bob, Vince and Curtis)? They have that magic and are the closest to the original group there ever has been.
The vocal voicings are precise..like the pedals of a rose falling into that altered and inexpressable declaration of his love for her in the one chord....four freshman essence
still the best version of the Freshmen since Albers, Flannigan and the Barbour Bros as far as pure vocal ability. The group with Greg Stegman singing the first part with Kevin, Bob and Brian were the best as regards a combo of vocal and musicians Jazz wise.
..."When my life is through, and the angels ask me to recall the thrill of them all, I shall tell them I remember you!" (I miss you, my love, I'll never forget you!)
Both here have brilliant harmony but I prefer the slower tempo because it allows the song to create a gorgeous mood/atmosphere that is missing with a quicker pace.
I've been listening to the Freshmen, thanks to my friends - the Wright family, for sixty plus years and the replacements have the same harmonious sound that I fell in love with as a young boy.
