What year and model is this car? Does it have ASC as well? Did the new pump need to be reprogrammed to the car or have any calibration done? Did you ever try to repair the old one?
I had this problem 3 weeks ago and just replaced the cylinder. My old one didn't have the click you feel and hear when you turn the key so it would slowly move when you rev the engine and shut off
Figure it out? It’s a dead spot in the electrical hookup for the ignition. Take it apart and spray wd40 in it and work it forward and back. Problem fixed
Also this will fix 2nd to 3rd gear slipping/flare shifting and the second pressure switch will fix 1st to 2nd gear slip/flare even without a check engine light!
Disconnect battery Need to remove alternator pulling and belt Replace Vanos oil line Oil pressure sensor (Oil filter housing gasket call profile gasket ) Belt tensioner
I got gt40p heads on on my 99 5.0 explorer. Thing ran like a bat outta hell before the fuel pump went out, I’ll fix it soon tho. Also the original exhaust manifolds are cracked. What brand of headers fit good on the explorer?
I have a question i recently changed my fuel system on my 92 mustang gt and now my car don't wanna start it cranks but it wont start any suggestions will be highly appreciated i think it might be the ignition module tfi.
Pull a plug and check for spark. The listen for fuel pump, the check the inertia switch in trunk behind panel. If all is good the replace ignition switch in steering column
I know this is a old comment and maybe you got your problem fixed or not but on these actuators LMR doesn't have a dedicated person that makes these for them, they buy it from a supplier and i wouldn't be surprised if thats were everyone else is getting them from, when you have a 30 year old car there are very few people making the same parts for them anymore, the best thing is to find a OEM one on eBay but it will cost you plenty and only when one shows up. I have a 89 and a 91 and in the last 5 years i think i have gone thru 3 or 4 of these things, they are junk. A dead giveaway is everytime you buy one it comes with those 6 or 7 "universal" adapters, thats proof right there one company is making them for everyone else.
