The leak by the gas pedal is probably your A/C (evaporator coils and pan). That is where your A/C coils are. When the refrigerant expands and gets cold it causes condensation (water) when the hot air pass over to cool it, which collects in the pan. That pan should drain on the bottom of the car. Over time dirt (dust) and mold etc. can grow and clog the drains. I found when I cleaned my old '80 320i small thin vinyl peelings from another part in the A/C clogged the drain and was causing the leak. You may be able to unclogged that without removing the center dash/console from underneath the car. The 320i had plastic hose tips that could be removed from the pan much like the ones you have here in this video in the engine compartment. Those could be removed from the bottom of the car. If you do remove the center console, I would allow a lot of extra time to clean that A/C coil because after 25 years it will be dirty. It would be time well spent. The A/C will work better. BMW did not have cabin filters at that time this classics were built. Good luck. Thanks for the vid. I need to do a couple things to my E30 too.
Interesting video-----Water leaks are common to e30's where they still have their original seals and rubbers. Leaks are also never discovered in time and cause rust which leads to further leaks. An e30 in a warm climate would last centuries.
My elephant trunk is totally stiff and broke at the base when I removed it to clean it, can't see a part number, does yours have one that you can provide please? Thank You for a very helpful tip.
