This channel is about our 120 acre family farm. My daughters are the fourth generation to grow up on this farm and the 3rd generation raised in our home. You can expect videos to contain gardening, canning, making our own soap, and various other farm related chores. We hope you enjoy what you see.
There are certain hills I’m willing to die on. This isn’t one of them. I understand where you’re coming from but customer service, ease of access, and willingness to help a guy when he is down is pivotal to me and my operation.
I bought the same exact tedder a few years back and biggest complaint was that they were too damn cheap to put a "Parking Jack" on it.Just a POS parking stand instead. I did put a real jack on it and made it so much easier to hook/unhook. Also the grease fittings on the double U-joints where the wings fold, the one closest to the center were a "Bear" to get to.
Hi Nick, vielen Dank für ihre Videos. Aufgrund deiner Beurteilung haben wir die Entscheidung getroffen, einen John Deere 5M zu kaufen. Viele Grüße aus Deutschland.
You hear anything back from John Deere service 8:03 ? Same thing happened yesterday during my hay cutting! I stopped blew out everything, went back to cutting light came back on!!😮😩
we also run a sitrex tedder...have you had any problems with this taking 2 windrows and peaking them into one? No matter what rpms we run it at, it wants to throw the hay that way.
Hi Gary, a couple of observations: 1) I noticed that you are not using the turbulator baffles that insert into the gaps in the heat exchanger. Curious why you have opted not to use them . 2) I also saw that you did not attempt to remove the combustion air tubes on the sides of the firebox. Are you able to make sure they are clean from the air box looking in? I had to hire service guy to get them out last year, not an easy thing to do. I have a Classic Edge Titanium 360.
Glad the kids are getting involved in 4-H. Good luck with Chester. We are done with any hay, unless we get Irrigation water. Our drought has killed our operation. Have a blessed week Nick.
Just got done using a buddies on my hay. Aside from it not being a hydraulic tilt I like it pretty good. Super light though. Not sure if it’s worth spending the extra on a pequea or not
Hey Nick, I love the channel! I'm looking at buying one of these 5125s. Interestingly enough, I also use Middletown tractor in Uniontown. I live in Farmington. Is there any chance I can stop by your place and check some things over on that tractor to see if it's what I want? They currently do not have any in stock at the dealer.
Question, when you install new blades is it normal for them to wiggle up and down? I know they are supposed to be able to swing from side to side but is there supposed to be up and down play? Mine has quite a bit.
A little bit is okay, not a lot. I would say that if you believe it’s too much, you should buy new bolts for the MOCO and replace those as well. They’re relatively cheap.
Not many 444 out there any more. Back when i was farming they were pretty common everyones gone to 30 in rows or closer. 30 being most common. We had some on 20 inch rows and some 24 but 30 is most common.
Yes here in Eastern Ohio We have a deer problem also. It is getting out of hand. Had a twenty acre field on rented ground, didn't get a soybean off it. They never got over 4 inches tall. Keep them ate off all summer long. I think the money paid for license to hunt should be paid to the farmers that feed them.
Good evening Nick . Happy to see a new video. It’s ashamed the deer cause so much damage . Looks like the combine is doing a good job . Keep the videos coming !
i want the open station 2wd 5075m but i doubt i'll get it i dont want to hear my idiot sister bitchin about it she dont like nothin from john deere anyway
How long do you think it would take you to till a 120x100 ft plot, that has grass on it? Sandy loamy soil, 0 rocks, pretty soft. any ideas? lol paying a guy to come do it.. wondering what im gonna end up paying lol!
My best guess for something like that with a soft soil and zero rocks would probably be in the ballpark of about 2 1/2 hours total and that’s telling it twice
@@RockyAcresFarmstead Ended up tilling it in 3 passes, was very soft he kept mentioning, took him 2 hrs 15 minutes. id say you guessed pretty accurately! haha thankyou
Hey there, just asking feedback from you who is a lot more knowledgable than me. lol. I live on a canal and the boats go from left to right and right to left at around 25 to 35 miles an hour. Would this camera be able to capture the registration numbers on the side of the boat. The numbers are about 3 to 4 inches high and usually 6 letters. Distance out from my hut is about 15 to 30 yards. Its only daylight that I need. Thanks for your help in this problem.
I would suggest looking at the security version of the camera. I know, for a fact, that the photo quality of Reconyx is top 5. I bet it wouldn’t have an issue.
I really like the 630 MOCO. I’ve heard mixed reviews on the new s series. I did not look at the new holland mower conditioners. That was based off dealer availability near me. We have one but have had less than adequate luck with them in the past.
When installing an outdoor boiler pour at least a 10x 12’ pad bigger if possible install the boiler to one side and to the back of the pad. Then Ann a roof and sides if you want. The front can be open. Pot you chimney through the roof, this enclosure lets you store 3-4 cords of wood under cover, readily accessible and makes it easy to load in a heavy snow or rain
