I have “real” watches and a lot of them. I have a friend who buys the #MaMaCoo we put them side by side and guess what ?! It’s unbelievable!!! I am at the Rolex boutique with her and no one can tell he has a fake
I bought a watch from amzwatch lightly used for my last milestone birthday. Don't wear it as much as it deserves, but not afraid to, either. It's stunning . Good taste, Sir.
Thank you for this review. Would you be so kind to measure the bezel insert for me? I'd buy this one if I was able to change the bezel insert to a 12hours one. Thank you!
@@JasonTheWatchGuy thanks! But bezels come in a lot of different sizes 😅 like 39.5x32.8, others 38.2x33, etc 😉 that's why I'm asking. I asked vendors in AliX but to no avail.
Absolutely loving my C63 Valour and C60 Atoll Shark White. I will say that CW makes an amazing watch, but the Customer Service I received just horrible. For that reason alone I will never buy another CW watch again, and have been collecting for over 30 years now. It's sad when a company like CW has an amazing product, but their customer service kills the experience and memory of owning that watch. Let me explain. It started when I ordered the C60 Atoll. Somehow I was charged duties and customs when I live in the US. I emailed CW and a day later I got a email stating that they knew of the glitch and they were waiting on their Operations Manager to figure it out and for all the hassle I would receive a free watch band. And CW would get back in touch when they figured it out. Well I waited for 3 weeks while CW forgot about me. I emailed CW again asking where is my refund, and then fun started. Between computer glitches, sending me order confirmations but not standing behind them, people not doing what they say they will do, and the last straw was with Matthew Thomas the Operations Manager not doing ANYTHING he said he would do in a email to me......I'm done with this company. And my advice as a watch collector for over 30 years is this. There are many other companies out there that are making just as good if not better watches for the same price or cheaper. Honestly I would buy a Longines and spend the extra few hundred or thousand. You're getting an amazing watch with history and heritage attached to it, along with outstanding customer service directly from Longines. But to each their own. Customer Service to me is everything in a company, and unfortunately CW is lacking it.
I like the idea, but I feel the execution falls short. To me the indices and numerals look plastic-like and cheap- like they belong on a Swatch. Same for the dial- I like the idea of some texture, but it looks cheap to me. If they did a nice black dial and had quality looking markers, I’d pay for it. I feel like $1k is not a big ask for a decent watch.
I’d still like one, one day just to say I have one. But in the past and for the moment I’d much rather invest in the stock market than put a serious chunk of my money in a Rolex.
@NicholasSadlier what else could I wear!? Myself and Mike had a fantastic Evertonian chat when we last met. Fantastic fella and he shares plenty in common with me and a lot of local people
Here we go again !. CW have this uncanny knack of talking to my wallet but I never just dive in when buying a new piece , be it 100 quid or 10,000. In this instance I will wait to see if a a bit further down the line if they release a 38mm version. Ah but which one ?. Never been a huge fan of ceramic bezels , hence my subby pre ceramic is going nowhere but the white dial version of this piece , going from photos obviously , looks the dogs danglers. Do I need another GMT , nope. Do I need another CW, nope. But..............you buggers CW !. People moan about CWs prices going up of late, personaly I think that they have been underselling them for a long time. Quality pieces with cracking movements for at the end of the day , for what you are getting , not a lot of money. Well presented Jason.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Jeez I can imagine your pain Jason. It could have been worse mind ... " would you like to review our new GMT with the white dial ". Ha ha.
Decently made watch but personally I find those dial colours hideous and the trident second hand is a bit gimmicky. YMMV. I can't help noticing that CW watches are getting more expensive, although their secondhand values don''t yet reflect that. Not an investment piece.
The second I read investment piece I lost interest in your comment. I’m not here for investments. Especially on a sub 2k watch. This isn’t a Porsche 911 GT3 RS I’m going to keep in the wrapper to sell in 5 years. It’s a fun summertime watch.
It looks great, the dial makes me smile, tie that together with the overall design and your in "ding dong" territory for me....outstanding....🏴⌚🏴⌚
@JasonTheWatchGuy very similar taste to my son ,he has Omega NTTD ,Omega planet ocean and Tudor black Bay 58 ,but his old dad is very happy with his CWC fatboy. Thanks Jason ✊️ keep the faith
So many good points, my grail was a speedmaster. We purchased one for a friend for his 40th and I’m so glad I was there when it was presented to him. For me it was such an underwhelming watch on my wrist, it completely turned me off. I think it is so important to wear the exact watch you want to purchase before committing to scratching that itch.
Fully understand your points about the artisan workmanship and quality behind the watch but because it comes from the land of Ali Express people will be wary of buying it without actually seeing and trying it.
I’m a hairy guy 😂, but modern watch bracelets don’t pull my hair until I wore a prx. The finishing on those things are awful. Don’t get the hype personally
Reasonable review, but spare us the gushing. This is the grade of steel Rolex use. It polishes slightly better than 316L, but the downside is that it scratches far more easily. The notion that it feels better on the wrist is for the birds.
It feels a lot different, after reviewing hundreds of watches I can feel the difference easily. It might scratch but it looks damn good and feels better
If you have to save for a watch, you have no business owning it. Expensive luxury watches are for wealthy people only. You don't save up for a Rolex, you buy it for cash because you have plenty of disposable income.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Nevertheless it's true. The saved up money could be in the bank earning you interest instead of just sitting on your wrist. What is the point of having a status object without having a status? These types of watches were never meant for regular people.
Okay, so I've saved to buy several watches as keepsakes. Rolex, Omega, Breitling etc. My outlay has been around £7k. Again, money I saved from working my ass off. Current worth of those pieces is around £13k on the low end. Show me a bank that could do that for me in 2 years. Just because people have to save, it doesn't mean they don't deserve to enjoy something meant for a higher end of customer.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy That's a cope. Everyone knows watches are not a good investment. And yes, there are things you're not supposed to enjoy until you graduate to a certain level. The way to luxury is always earned, never saved.
@johndong7524 got to say, excessively snobby attitude. I come from a poor background and I've worked for what I have and I enjoy what I have. You should take a look in the mirror before looking down on others who work and save to enjoy finer things. There is no gatekeeper to luxury anymore, that day has passed.
I do love that on the fly and the dial but like yourself I haven't got 2& half grand to spare. Now where was that San Martin link. I feel a NH 45 coming on 😅
So just to be clear £2600 for a watch with a movement found in sub £100 Aliexpress shitters. Doesn't even look well finished, the dial particularly looks rough as hell.
You need some new glasses son. The movement can't be found in anything but this watch, it's made and finished specifically for Atelier Wen. It's impeccably finished so I don't know what you're looking at and the dial is created by 1 of only 30 Gilouche masters in the world. Obviously, you haven't even looked at the video 🙄
Even looking at the pictures I can see lots of imperfections. I am not even mentioned the movement. Not for me.... If I need to buy cheap automatic, I can go with Citizen or Seiko.
There are no imperfections. You don't have to make things up to satisfy your soft opinion. This is better quality than most swiss brands, Citizen and Seiko don't even come into the conversation
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Look... Jason. I checked your channel and your videos. I got the picture how you make your living. I apologize making a comment of my "soft" opinion. You won't listen from me anymore. Have a nice day.
I don't think we are ready to treat Chinese products as high end yet It's like when Japan started producing products, it took decades for people to accept quality. In time we will but not yet.
Well, we need to because this is a much higher quality than 90% of the Swiss market. It doesn't really matter where it's produced, if its better then it's better
Its crap , Chinese junk , blah blah blah. Jesus christ how many of the naysayers have actually had this piece on the wrist , including myself , probably the square root of fuck all !. Now lets take it on obviously a visual / design only stand point. To me this pisses over the plethora of integrated watches that have been flooding the market for quite a while now. The clasp on the bracelet is a cracking design ,well thought out. Ok it's not in the 'beer money' price range ( CW , PRX , Citizen etc etc ) but none the less a cracking looking piece.
@@JasonTheWatchGuy Exactly Jason, the snobbery in this watch game will never cease and sometimes it is so hard to just sit on your fingers and ignore comments. Today isn't one of those days lol.
@unknownuser6809 have you personally dealt with the customer service? Also, you can't call a hand turned Gilouche dial crap, it's one of the most intricate works of art and how many brands do you see offering it at anywhere near that price? I'll answer for you, none.
