What a mess, the casing is busy, the dial is busy the Cyclops, it just all clashes. Never really interested in swiss movements but it's nice to see at this price point.
An absolute strong offering for the money. Overall, it is an excellent piece, and I totally agree with your noted areas for improvement. Great review, and thank you for sharing Jason 👍
An interesting design for sure! CF is a bastard to work with so to do it at this price is crazy! Add that awesome movement and you have one heck of a deal! Take care Jason!
CF isn’t hard to work with in this scenario. You just have to randomly set it in resin and have it molded under high pressure. CF is only hard to work with when layering and aligning sheets of the stuff.
@@PocketUau I cant say for sure how these watch cases are made but if they are cut out of CF billets and hand finished then that would most certainly add to the cost. I can attest to making some of those layered carbon sheets and components for both the automotive and aviation industry and its not fun. Carbon gets in places you didn't think you have places and if and when it cuts you it can get infected. You can also not was your clothes with the dust on it with your other clothes as you will itch from it. Like I said its not fun to work with. Maybe if they have jigs that they can vacuum cast it and then just hand finish it but again we dont know for sure.
The case is a little confusing. Is it a titanium case with a coating, like DLC, that looks like carbon fiber or is it solid carbon fiber with a titanium movement holder, or is it something else? About your video's audio, there's an echo from the room, like it's too empty. You can lay rug down, and that would soak up a lot of bounce back. Also, you can make square wood racks with clothes or blankets.
The case, bezel and clasp of this carbon fiber watch are all made of high-grade carbon fiber material, and the inner frame of the watch is made of titanium. This is beyond doubt. Among the prices of carbon fiber watches, the carbon fiber price of this watch brand is obviously lowest price
The problem with this one is the movement. A lot of AliExpress watches offer the SW200 which is the older, less reliable version of the SW200-1 which in my experience isn't a great movement either. Good review and I'm sure it'll appeal to many.
It is a strong offering, but I think the carbon fiber case looks like a rental bowling ball. A smaller size would be cool, too big for me. I don't like cyclops either, they almost never line up properly. Thanks Jason.
Something different and I applaud that. The deepest a recreational diver goes is 40 m and anything below 60 m is considered a deep dive and requires special training so, in my opinion, the 100 m rating on this watch is plenty...you can think otherwise, of course.
This is not to my taste but san Martin do offer some of their watches with the sw 200 on bracelet for similar price. I personally don't think san Martin will be worried about this brand.
