I think ICC should have given more leaway for deliveries that were more difficult to bowl with a straight arm such as doosra. It is not fair that they have the same rules for stock off spinner and doosra while the latter being extremely difficult to bowl with less than 15 degree arm bend/inflection. ICC's this decision really took away a great competition in the batsmen-dominant era

It's not a easy catch especially in test matches where you dont anticipate a fall flying towards you that often. The catch in slip requires cat like reflex and since the ball comes curving towards the fielder it becomes difficult to predict the exact trajectory of ball in that fraction of a second time span. Plus, a catch in slip position is always an under hand catch which technical fielders don't prefer much. Your hands can become lousy. He is one of the best fielders ever but anyone can have a bad day.
If you can't play the bowler start calling him chucker. Muralidharan, Sunil Narayan, Ajmal etc. Batsman can play in any stance, reverse sweep, reverse flip, sleep or anything. But bowler has to follow all godamn rule 😢
They were never able to read or play him properly, so they got him banned by doing garbage politics against him in Cricket all together, They are not able to see the most genuine chuckers of Cricket like Muralidharan, Malinga, Bumraah, Patirana, Ashwin.
