@@doyouknowwhoiam873 thanks for watching and for adding you comment, I always appreciate honesty and dialogue - thank you. Please correct me if I am wrong, but the world is only made up of men and women whose mothers did not have an abortion- is that true or false?
Good Question, and I am not sure why they mask up - is it because of fear or intimidation, I am not sure, they do not explain the reasons , personally if anyone stands for an ideal with conviction then they need to be seen and able to defend and debate their position based on those personal convictions, sadly, for many today , that is a tough choice to make. Thanks for your comment please be sure to like, subscribe and share. your support is valued.
What's amazing is that we need 3 km inflatable balls so the heat goes to the top of the ball and turns into snow and ice so that we can remake the Arctic and no one is saying anything except that they are burning to death inside of a heat wave this is making absolutely no sense at all
@@marybass7823 thanks for your comment and support Mary, much appreciated 🤠yes that is a lovely part of the world, I spent a l night at Prince Albert and back over the pass the next day shown I my follow up video 📹 😀 plan to visit there again soon
Very informative, great video. I used to live in Cape Town, now living in New Zealand. How is the water released from the dam, I don't see any gates that can control this?
potholes seems to be worldwide problem, seen just as bad in UK, indeed South Africa has some roads to avoid, but most are manageable, I would avoid traveling on South African roads at night , hitting a pothole and getting flat wheel on lonely road in the dark is not the best experience
🤣 yep, it only shows up 3 days a year then heads back down south to Sunny Suid-Afrika 🌞.. when it shines here it is a BIG event , even makes headline news 😀 😄 thanks for comment and support 👍🏼 keep watching, subscribe and if possible always leave a comment - massively appreciated keep safe and keep cool 😎
Good point , many may not remember or it was before their time ..1980 or there about I think...devastating flood with extreme high water in short period devastated the small town and community in a night...I have driven through that town back in 2001..seeing the High water mark in the street is sobering
@pulakekana1079 welcome to the channel and as "kid from the karoo" I would love to hear from you as which would be the BEST TOP 10 places to see in the Karoo - I will plan to add some of those suggestions to my next itinerary and so will look forward to your feedback - all the best .
thanks Mary , always glad to have you join these little adventures and I do appreciate all the feedback and comments , I am happy that my out of tune & off-key "singing" at the end did not put you off :D - good news , there are a LOT more videos coming in January , it will take some time to complete because I am on the road now but when I get back there should be a steady release of some quality videos with interesting stories.. until then keep safe and God bless
What a wonderful and precious film. It is astonishing what the similarities are that I share with you. My Dad was a member of the Vereeniging photographic society in the 60's and 70's, and made many films including the places you have shown. I inherited his love for film making, and I - even at the age of 77, occasionally do a video here in England - with my iPhone of course. I had two 16 mmm Beaulieu movie cameras for making films on the Okavango Swamps, Botletle Expedition, Roof of Africa Rally, and Trans Kalahari Road race which I along with friends from the Four Wheel Drive Club of South Africa founded in the early '70s after the Bottle Expedition. Once I have them digitised, I may well put them up on RU-vid with the help of my son who makes adventuresautomobiles videos on RU-vid.
Do let me know when you load them up I would love to see them.. my father used 8mm but he would have loved to have done 16mm, even in his mid 80s he was filming with his mobile 😀👍🏼
What a fascinating video. My wife and I have been to both churches you cover in this video, and what a wonderful way to come across the history of the Graaf-Reinet Church. I am an ex South African of Irish/English descent living in Kent, England, retired and with a son and family nearby and our daughter and family still living in Cape Town. It is wonderful to see videos such as this to keep my wife and I in touch with our past. Well done "The Guy Outside", and I have now become subscriber number 665 and wish you every success with your endeavours.
Glad you enjoyed it! I enjoy putting these videos together , although there was quite a bit of work before, during and after and this one was particularly challenging and needed a lot of work to complete this project with 2 visits to each site ( twice to Graaf Reinet South Africa , and twice to Salisbury) ...unfortunately I could not get into the Groot kerk on those two occasions so the story fell short in that respect , i believe the interior is quite stunning - hopefully someone else will do that video sometime soon )
I say this with any due respect. Cathedrals ( or any other church buildings ) are nowhere to be found in my King James Bible. They ( church buildings ) are pagan temples where Almighty God does not dwell. If you call yourself a ' Christian ' and associate yourself with church buildings, then you're either a hypocrite or totally ignorant of the scriptures. Acts 6 : 13-15, 7 : 47-51, 17 : 23-25, Hebrews 8 : 2, 9 : 11& 24 KJV explains. Temple worship and the priesthood were abolished by the Lord Jesus Christ at Calvary. Hebrews chapters 7-10 KJV. The satanic freemasons built the cathedrals mostly. Their obscene splendour and cost will only be found in the corridors of satan's citadel on earth being the vatican. In no way do these buildings belong in Christian practice. Their alters are for devil worshippers and their sacraments. Are they fine pieces of architecture ? Of course ! Are they for Christian worship ? NEVER ! Almighty God dwells in His repentant, born again followers, not in satans citadels.
such interesting comments @colinatkinson4150 and with such a conflagration of ideas and well meaning opinions I would otherwise struggle to know where begin to respond, other than to say, thanks for watching and all comments are received and appreciated ..
Fantastic feedback and encouragement -thanks..I will be doing just that in December and have quite a full itinerary and will be doing a lot filming - with a lot of improvements using upgraded camera and sound equipment, look out for when new videos released I will try give some indication of what is coming when with context on the community page
My pleasure thanks for watching and support. It is also thanks to all those folks that have also commented and added value with their knowledge.. well worth a read 📚
Agreed..and noted...yes my sound mix edit was heavy handed and inexperienced..I have learnt some good edit and mixing skills since then..please subscribe and keep your eyes open for the videos to be released soon and in particular in early 2024. There should be a marked difference...that said I am enjoying the experience of being out and capturing good memories on video, and try make them meaningful and interesting for whomever is to be my audience 😀
Fantastic...I would love to see photo or video of it full, must indeed be a sight to behold..if you have a photo, clip or video on RU-vid please send the link 👍🏽
Those who want to see this dam quite full (millions of litres at least), see "Beervlei Dam" ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xD-L4Q3ZatE.html
Lovely adventure video👌 Quick tip with the editing. Try to avoid the crossfade transitions. They have purposes and should only be used for that. The straight cut will let it look more professional. Nevertheless, love the video💫
@JessicaGov thanks for watching and agree with your tip, indeed I over used the crossfade and other unecessary transitions 😬 .which I had tendency to over use ... good to get this sort of feedback I like to hear this as it helps me improve...watch out for the videos I will releasing soon hopefully later this week ...definitely some better editing . I also realised I needed to pay more attention when filming so from early next year I will be releasing the films I am out shooting now...all with better quality picture , better dialogue and better sound and better editing ( thanks for the tip ..please keep them coming very much appreciated )
