Come on man!!!! I wouldn't let my wife walk after me at some distance. Not a slight distance i would keep no matter whichever the country is or how much safer it is. Not in my own country. Idk why you guys maintained a distance while walking.🤔
If i slow down, she will slow down behind me. It's just how we've always walked around for over 9 years. I couldn't tell you why. Big Lesson learned here though for sure.
The city is indeed boring if you feel like just walking in the streets and visit the main local atractions. There are other places to see like the volcano valley, salar de Salinas, Cotahuasi canyon, Punta de Bombon, etc. Sadly, many interesting places aren't offered to tourist because the local towns are not prepared to receive them. Going to Arequipa is all about adventure. I worked in Huambo two years ago and still regret not going into "indiana jones" mode

Physical is not an issue. I'm a kickboxer ffs 😂 She always walks behind me & we always get approached by people, i learnt a lesson here that i unfortunately can't rely on other men to keep their hands to themselves even when i am there. It was my mistake and it will not happen again.
i will never for the life of me understand how tourist go to a third world country and try a dodgy street food from a poor market that even most of the population of said country wouldn't eat. Literally you just threw away your trip for a 0.5$ dollar snack.
@@Escapeists I feel you man, but you have to understand, food from unsanitary places can literally kill you. More so if you do not have the gut bacteria adecuated to said country. I live in Peru all my life and also get fucked up from street food from time to time, specially from poor neighborhoods.
Gersthofen (where the Video started) is a separate small town. The Yoghurt drink isn‘t typical german, well it is but it‘s brought by immigants from turkish culture (they also invented the Döner in Berlin). Nice to see a tourists view about my hometown, thx for that ✌️

As a Indian women if that kind of things happened with us (happened often)we slap him immediately and don't let this happened in a first place most of the time. I'm not racist towards my own people but they're mostly perverted don't have any idea other people personal space don't even know how to behave specially men . you never saw a woman harassing others. It's better to female foreigners don't came Indian India not safe for women and it's worst for female foreigner.
We walked all the way from the bus station to the main plaza and didn't come across any sketchy parts, the people there seemed really nice. We were even invited into a church, where everyone was singing and performing in there too. Good vibes.
We actually did day tours. But if you want to go deeper (we would recommend that you do) then you should stay at the Tambopata Lodge. And the tour company we used was 'Manu Expeditions'. You can easily find them on Google maps. They were absolutely awesome from the start. (Try and get Leo as your guide, check out our other Amazon vlogs to see why he's so good.) hope this helps! Hey! What we do is we find a nice spot on booking com etc, we have a rule it must be 8+ rated on there, then we turn up, see what price they'll do us if we book directly with them. Sometimes its cheaper, sometimes its same amount. Sometimes they try and be cheeky and charge higher - but we just go with the cheapest option from there regardless (online or on arrival). I'd have to say Ko Lanta.. You can't even go to a waterfall or a cove on that island without a horde of people trying to force you to pay them to take you there. Controversial one, as we know alot of people who love Ko Lanta... Good luck on your travels!
