Longer string is nice, but if it’s too long it can overtime work your engine too hard and over heat the engine. I’ve seen this a few times and every time the customer had taken the guard off

My experience has been that you can mulch them once or twice but after that the leaves start to kill the grass. In my opinion it is faster to pile and vacuum with a debri loader.
