Currently, I'm struggling through "A Course in Miracles" - it's premise is that the greatest "miracle" is the act of gaining full awareness of love's presence in one's life. The reason I'm struggling is because there are no tools ... the daily lessons are circuitous ... they have a promise of undoing our mind's unhealthy approach to life. There is something about "The Tools" which are helping me make more & faster progress with the ACIM Lessons. When one learns to access the Life Force, one has a better chance of achieving the premise of ACIM. Thank you Phil & Barry!
I love the idea of The Tools, but all the talk of higher powers is very off putting to me. Magical thinking us what gave us most of the evils of human history.
I'm reading my 11th of his books, and also go back and forth to compare the movie with the book, but avoiding spoiling the content in the book while still reading. This guy is someone you can't stop reading about. Yes, that's not my whole time, my wife and I have traveled the world. Keep it going, Mr. Grisham!
Historically patients have been offered a ladder to climb out of their pain. Unfortunately, too many of the rungs on the ladder break. These 5 tools are sturdy rungs.❤️🏁 Thank you.
Phil is not seeking anyone's approval he speaks from a place of love, compassion and profound caring. He is not trying to be a "good speaker," he is simply taking a stand for people, like you, focusing on what matters. Cuz time is running out.
@@virginiaspringer1441 yes so true. We all are gifted in one way or another and he is a gifted psychotherapist. Together with our gifts we make a whole by connecting.
@@magdalenadacunto888 Celeste Ng often makes negative remarks towards Asian men. She also writes novels about Asian men being weak fathers. Yet her partner is White. She is a white worshipping sack of toxic human garbage and it’s sad how far of a reach she has.
Love that she starts this by noting the closing of a bookstore while doing this Amazon interview. Love it…and loved this book. Buy it from your local book store.
Thanks for the video. I'm still ruminating over the 2.2 million middle class comment. The book was a great beach read (especially having grown up just a "stone's throw" from Lakeville School in Lake Success and trick or treating to Whitey Ford's house).
Currently reading These Truths, wonderful book. I would like to argue to LePore, to all of us, that historians are, in a sense, biologists who can conduct experiments. Not directly perhaps, but their work, history, honest, truthful history can, and I think should, be applied directly to current events, public debate and argument over policies. Distorted versions certainly have been. The work of historians is part of the scientific process, observation, measurement, hypothesis, testing of how we govern ourselves. They do the observation and measurement part. These Truths rings true to our times because it connects us to human nature and behavior and the corrupting aspects of power by connecting, reconnecting us to our founders with myth and superstition and bias stripped away. It's up to us to apply these truths and continue the experiments by improving on them and continuing to seek a more perfect, or at least ever improving, union. Bravo, Jill LePore.
jill lepore is amazing!!!! Her insight and ability to write "right" american history is unfounded. I read everything she writes! Everyone should! Harvard academics at its best!
these guys are amazing and are true heroes in time when most working people are just trying to get through the day and don't really care about anyone but themselves. They are innovators in their field and have selflessly dedicated themselves to finding tools which can be taught to their patients providing them with effective relief from their pain. i am not a reader but bought this book for my wife who loves this type of self improvement literature. I sat down to read a few pages before checking out of barnes and nobles, and before I knew it, i was 50 pages in. Each page contains profound statements which are simply expressed. I am blown away by how smart these two guys are and the potential that they have created for helping people in need.
I met Phil last month just after his Omega appearance. It was meant to be! It was a very strange meet. I stopped by Chazz Palminteri's restaurant in Midtown after a photoshoot driving from Brooklyn. I was sitting at the bar having my dessert and all of a sudden I see Gianna, who happens to be a very close friend and Producer of my husbands Off Broadway show, Chazz and PHIL! Gianna tried to introduce us, BUT I already knew of him from reading his books and watching these videos thanks to Chazz who gave me his audiobook. Phil has this amazing spirit around him, I adore him as a person just meeting as well as a respected author. I spoke about my own book coming out November 2016, and he so kindly was interested, asking questions. The Universe speaks in many ways, I am so grateful for meeting Phil~He has inspired me to write a second book.
OMG I just read this book! I'm so happy to have come across this video! I just reviewed it on my channel! I would love it if you guys checked it out! :)
Hi. I am curious as to what was your experience after using the tools. How long you ended up using it for? and anything else you would like to share. I am going to begin using the tools and just looking for added perspective. Thankyou :)
i am SOOOOO READY for book 3 !!!!! about half way through book 1 i was like ... this HAS to be made into a movie !!!!!! - I can't WAIT !!!!! So glad to hear it's happening !!!!!
idespise guugleplus I read the trilogy as well and was fascinated, but, sadly, I felt like it got more hmmm "boring" or Kind of strangely went nowhere seriously (My english isn't perfect, sorry...). After (SPOILERS!) the director (or the double) returned, bringing Area X with her, Control escapes up to the North I think, but it all started to annoy or dissapoint me, I personally never understood, if now Area X has now infested the whole globe or at least USA. To me it felt as if Mr. VanderMeer wrote out into the blue, not exactly being in total control about his tale. Still, I love the whole Picture of the strange Situation. But I'm curious about your opinion. And YES, can't wait for the movie, I felt exactly the same during Book 1 and was like COOOOOOOL they're gonna adapt it! Though, I'm sure they're gonna fill up the holes or come up with an Interpretation already that doesn't fit mine. (Ok, there's many explanations, mine is that something as strange as god, with similiar "power" or womething, out of space came down, into the fire beacon of the old lighthouse. Then, they moved the fire beacon to the new one, where it was only a matter of time to be found. Somehow, it started to posess the lighthouse keeper's Body and mind, making him sick at first, then spreading out, changing the fabrics of reality or the perception of reality. 10 years later, another force built the sphere field around the area, isolating it somehow and assimiliating it to the physical laws and all of another planet (time flows differently, a totally different night sky etc.). Area X is like a Piece of earth with an Alien overlay of another planet with completly different natural laws and stuff. What's your take?
Dr. Stutz is a very honest, humble, down to earth New Yorker. I just listened to episode #454 (12-20-13) of the Marc Maron podcast (called WTF) with Dr. Phil Stutz as his guest. It's a very entertaining & fascinating hour that I highly recommend.

@@youngdadscomedy I can’t really put it into words - the tools help me process negative feelings like stress, fear, anxiety so that when I confront a situation that arouses these feelings, I’ve already experienced them and they don’t overwhelm me. It isn’t a magic pill - it requires a commitment - use them and see for yourself. I hope you have a good experience.

@@youngdadscomedy Hi, I think you should just go ahead and try for yourself. What other people find in „The Tools „ is their thing. What you can discover in it is yours. Enjoy your venture.
