Is the trail in good shape? I'm thinking of trying to do it this week, but last time I tried I had to stop on the east side b/c trees were down and there were trail markers or discernable trail.

Just now saw this. But the mountain bikers have made the east side of the trail one of the best sides now. No more climbing through dense overgrown jungle with trees down everywhere! The transformation is really nice.

@@ducktrails I went back and did the whole thing, and the east side is the best side lol. I got lost the first time b/c I didn't realize the road walk was part of the trail.

@XfiverX you really aren't on the road that long. Just south of the Garr Hill Boat Ramp before you climb the big hill the trail turns off and goes through the woods for about 4 miles. Than a short road walk to the Eagle Trail that leads to Bonwell Boat Ramp.

@@ducktrails Yeah the road walk isn't bad. I just got lost b/c I thought the trail veered into the woods instead of doing the road walk. According to Alltrails you can go that way, but the trail in that portion isn't maintained and just kind of stops. It's not a bad place overall, I just wish it was a little better maintained and the trails were a little wider.
