My advice to anyone is just get out there, have fun, learn something new, get uncomfortable and enjoy the experience!
After the love of riding came back I went out and purchased a new 2022 Honda Africa Twin Adventure with the full intention of getting out and doing some camping, off roading and just getting out to have some fun.
It's a shame i can't make the ADV Fest trip, looks like a good ride in the making! If there is rain, it just means you'll create more relatable videos. Who will be on crash cam duties, only fate will tell...
@@TwoWheelerSparky Hahahaha mate, the sooner we can get the whole crew together again, the better. I reckon after this one we all get down Kostas way for a southern adventure
Gday Brett, I was booked in at Bellingen pub with some mates for ADV Fest, bit now unfortunately cant make it. Was hoping to say gday to you while there. Catch uou next time.👍
Hey Adrian, back in the day in this video it was a GoPro 8 and media mod but now I've found the DJO Osmo Action 4 with the DJI Mic 2 the absolute best motovlog set up. Seriously worth considering! I would avoid GoPro, they've really dropped the ball.

If this is a 7/10, then the bell bullitt has to be a 3/10. I bought a bell bullitt L and tried it on once. The fit and feel was just terrible. Took it back to the store and tried on a £700 Arai which was better and then this Shoei GT Air 2. Night and bloody day fellas. The fit and feel was the best helmet I tried on in the store. Plus I paid £350 for it. 😊
Yes there are plenty of good routes to do in this part of the world. Will have to join you on a ride at some point. Have an Africa Twin as well. 2016 model. Fantastic bike.
I have this helmet and I agree with your opinion. I believe it is very noisey and fogs a lot. I like the instegrated visor too. I ended up going with Arai helmet and that thing is amazing. Never looked back.
but mud, especially clay is slippery even on knobbies... but yeah, I wouldn't use the front gps tire if I want to go off road, but rear gp with dual venture front would probably be best compromise
The combo I ended up with is the TKC80 on the front and EO7+ on the back. That EO7 wore down so I've since replaced it with a Motoz Rallz. Should've done this a long time ago!
Nice day out Brett, what country are you in... the sky is a strange, almost blue colour!!! 😆 Funny enough Google doesn't know about Mount George lookout, I only found it by searching for Eagle Reach Resort. The link you have in the description takes me to Tasmania.
I was also surprised to see Mount George not coming up, would be a nice run to Tassie but only her the day to head out 😂 Really well worth getting out to have a look if you're out that way!
Great run from Maitland Vale Rd up into Lambs Valley on the dirt to the Mount George Lookout and home via Vacy and Paterson. Best day weather wise for 2 months, need to get out and do more of this!
@@harleyguy7 I had a 2013 GS, great bike but wanted something a bit easier on the servicing costs. I was looking for fuel range, comfort and capability. The Twin has all of that! Still love the bike, I reckon I made the best choice for sure.
I tipped over on my scooter in the carpark there while standing completely still, just as a couple came strolling through from Eaglereach. Most embarrassing.
Hey bud, I'm loving my Action 4 and found that -9 audio works great as well. I am running the RallZ (front) on my 1290 and it is awesome so far. After a few rides they tend to be more stable on the road. I have used the Adventure before and the side grip is insane. I was so used to doing power turns with the Dunlop Trailmax and when I tries it with the Mtz ADV, yeah it almost got away from me. It gripped and took off.
The EO7+ all round was an awesome tyre and I'm more than likely going to go back to them. They're brilliant in the wet on tarmac and still very impressive on the dirt!
Maybe it is just me, but I find your video confusing. There are so many devices. Do you need the power bank to make it work? It feels like you skipped some steps...
Confusing? How so? Each device assists the other. Having the Garmin Zumo XT2 means I don't need to have my phone as a GPS, BUT if I want Waze, Google Maps, Gaia GPS, than I can have it by using the Android Auto Wireless Dongle and the phone sits safely in my jacket pocket or tank bag. The Tough On power bank keeps the phone charged while I've got it connected to the wireless dongle. It all works together really well.
