On a mission to discover interesting Motorcycle adventures, people and places around the world.
Hi everyone, my name is Daniel, I'm an Adventure Motorcycle enthusiast probably like yourself and this is my way of connecting with reality. I love to make videos and I always try to be detailed as possible about places I'm visiting. Videography is not my profession but I certainly enjoy it.

No sve je to zanemarivo kad ideš lagano i uživaš u ljepotama Hrvatske.
Super video a i super motor. CB500X?
I have a 2023 model. The only real complaint (or something I would change) is 6th gear....it's too short. At about 115 kph, the engine is screaming at about 6000 rpm. And while it may be able to keep that going all day, it just seems too high. Honda should have just made 6th gear taller. Get the rpms down to about 4500-5000.
Parabéns Guerreiros...🫡Saudações do Brasil... Eu também tenho uma Cb500x e adoro andar.. Se inscrevam no meu canal do RU-vid viva na cb. Abraço e bons ventos
I rode 30.000km from Scotland to Mongolia and back through the Stan's. Zero issues, tackled everything Mongolia could throw at me. Not one mechanical issue. I am going to be riding from Australia to Scotland next year and I will be taking the V-Strom. It's a great bike for touring in wild places
2004 650 non-ABS Vstrom owner here to dispell some of this nonsense. Well...yea the brakes are not Brembo, however, mine doesn't have ABS so they can lock up pretty damn fast if you want. So it's not the brakes it's the rider. Remember you're riding 2-up with heavy panniers on a relatively heavy bike 220kg wet without passengers and bags. Adapt your speed to the driving conditions...the brakes are fine enough. Trust me...they do lock up pretty darn fast ask me how I know. 2nd- the wind, yes the original windscreen is limited, and a bigger screen would limit wind hitting your face. However no airflow means no cooling. Were you wearing earplugs? 3rd Handguards. I have been riding my 2004 in code orange rainfall doing 100km/h with a taller windscreen and the stock handguards the only part of my body to get wet were my legs. Seriously if you're complaining about wind hitting your arms...motorcycling is NOT for you. Try riding a naked...and you'll have some wind to complain about. 4th. Stability riding 2 up with bags. Have you adjusted your suspension preload? Experience tells me you had im propper preload adjustments for riding 2up with bags. It's a top heavy bike with alot of plastics to catch the wind, if you don't adjust your preload the front is going to float especially with extra weight on the back. 5th vibrations and original seat. Well it's a V2-90° cylinder engine...and for a V2-90° cylinder engine it's pretty damn smooth. Again...stick to cars or get a Goldwing...which is basically a car on 2 wheels. Seat too hard on your butt after 2 hours of driving? Even a comfortable reclining chair gets unfomfortable after 2 hours...ever been on a 2 hour + flight? Anyway you're supposed to stop every 2 hours for safety reasons. Truck drivers have to stop every 2 hours by law.
you want to pop up wheelies just with the engine power? yes is underpowered for this you want to ride without the fear of constant speed tickets? then is fine
Thank you for a fantastic review with your pillion passenger. You covered many things about the CB500X that I wanted to know. You have helped me decide to aim for the 2024 Honda NC500X (former 2023 CB500X). Best wishes 👍👍
Quad Lock is alright, but all these phone mount companies are asleep at the wheel, same for the Bluetooth headset/communicator companies. They must try to keep selling without enhancing or improving. I didn’t want to buy a Quad Lock, because I wanted a system I could mount which would have a magnet lock in like my SW-Motech tank bag but for the phone, wireless charging, 360 dual ball flexibility, and could mount to my 12mm navigation bar. None of them have an option. You either need to come c,OSW with Quad Lock or Peak Designs. I prefer Peak Designs, but the lack of wireless charging in this day and age is amateur hour and forced me to discount them and go with the less well-designed Quad Lock.
Thanks for sharing. Seems you have found the best solution for 5'10 - 6'0 rider. Comparing the WRS to the stock at high setting was brilliant. Just a small increase with improved width. Great review. Ordered one.
I purchased a 2017 model new. I have done 53,000 km I agree brakes are poor, in fact I took it to the dealer and asked them to fit softer brake pads. Did not make an ounce of difference. I also agree about the windscreen, it is almost useless. I purchased a Givi air flow screen. It is brilliant. I don’t agree about vibrations. I have no vibrations and never have. I suspect your wheels need balancing. Stability has never been an issue on my bike at any speed. It’s as steady as a rock, very confidence inspiring. As for the stock seat, that is very subjective. Many people say it’s the most comfortable seat they have ever had. I have purchased a Air Hawk to put on my seat. It has made a huge difference to my comfort.
Hi, thanks for the review i just bought a cb500x and im thinking of doing the same setup with the damper, can you mount the phone vertically or just horizontally?
i recently bought a DL650 2016 with 14000kms on the clock. I like to ride my Harley Fat Bob for the sealed roads. I got the vstrom for some gravel road travels. I find no issue with it whatsoever. The brakes are totally adequate for the bike, I don't mind the stock screen. Getting to the gravel roads, I can travel at 120 or 130k/hr on 80/20 tyres on sealed roads with no problems, but happy to cruise at 110k/hr all day long and be comfortable on the stock seat. The bike has impeccable manners on seal and gravel. I have no intentions of taking it off road totally. A great buy!
Pozdrav!
