My question is, I don’t have experience in any online or offline English teaching, but I can’t gain any experience if all these companies keep requiring that you need experience. So how am I supposed to gain experience?
Hi Bradley! Great question! You should consider voluntarily teaching offline just to gain experience (after school or weekends - to kids who need assistance with reading for example). Alternatively, you could accept a really low rate from an online company just to gain experience. Such companies often don't require experience. It can be very demotivating, but it's just to get your foot in the door. I hope this helps! 👍🏼
Thnk u so much for this CV insight, I'm a new subie. I do have a Degree but no experience. I only volunteer for 1month in the daycare nearby home last year since i wanted to pursue a Career of Education . Can i include it in my CV ?

Hello, Rosan! There could very well be some companies that allow nose rings which I'm unaware of... But from my experience, all companies I've come across forbid facial piercings (earrings on females are an exception) and any visible tattoos.
Hi Az, thank you for these videos, they really help us prepare for this type of work to come. If your preference is to teach adults (as is my experience) and that's your intended focus, is it more difficult to find work? Might you have to teach kids first, and with experience then "qualify" to teach adults or could it just be the luck of the draw, with whatever jobs are available at the time?
Hi, Sharad! Teaching kids doesn't qualify one to teach adults. In fact, I'd say that teaching kids is harder work and requires more effort and theatrics. If teaching adults is your preference, ideally you should only apply to companies with adult students. However, it just isn't that easy. My advice would be to apply everywhere... and honestly, the reality is that you are going to get rejected by most companies. Don't take it personally. This industry is just extremely saturated. Wherever you do get accepted, you can pick and choose from there. All the best! 🎈
