My Dad grew up in Ogden, Utah. When he passed away from lung cancer in 1999, one of the last things he told us was that he wanted to be cremated and his ashes scattered on a mountain he played on with friends and camped out on when he was 13 years old. My son played this song on his guitar and my family sang these words up on that mountain as we had a memorial service for my Dad. It truly was such a gift for my family. We love you and miss you Dad! ❤❤❤
All the really good country singers have passed except for Willir. They really are missed too. I don't even listen to the radio in the car anymore. I have my CD's of the good music . I have alerts on my phone for weather and traffic. I don't need anything else.
Willie's Roadhouse is a Sirius station that plays older country. The real deal, this station. I've shared Willie's Roadhouse with many, worth the time to seek it out
I never knew he was that popular and how many country top 10s he had, fukin legend, love his son to he's a rockabilly country coke snorting rebel too😂😂😂
Waylon is the god of country! There is none better. Only equal which can only be one other country & western god; George Straight. Then everyone else follows down the line. Waylon is The Man ! Man ! Waylon is Legend & Beyond!

Not to mention, a pedophile who never faced consequences or accountability because of his fame and money. JS he's a punk.. I don't care how many records he's sold. nuff sed.
No I didn't. He wasn't a Communist. He was a socialist. More over I don't judge the music I like by the politics of the writer or the singer. I judge music based on music. Now if I had a political channel I might then judge him on political bases.
I'm just saying that context helps there is a lot of history in that as well his political beliefs had a huge part in his career and music I mean he literally wrote "this machine kills fachist" on his guitar but I do not know I'm just a dude
