Changing captiva fluid every year 250000 trans perfect fluid drains as new don't remove anything it is not possible to service trans no battery Trans cold remove fill bolt ubove drain bolt easy if passenger wheel removed both drain and fill bolts removed trans cold drain into large container Replace drain bolt tight fill top through top bolt whole with hand pump tras fluid will run out Replace bolt run motor hand brake on foot hard on brake going through all the gear selection twice leave motor running remove top bolt if trans comes out Wait 5 minutes then remove bolt Replace trans fluid till fluid comes out Can raise car access to bolts but vehicle must be level adding fluid motor going keep safe from exhaust gas it takes about 10 minutes total if motor cold
Kind of useless video really. You totally skipped the part people need to see - The actual replacement of the hose. Might have been helpful if you added info on the replacement hose too and maybe where you can buy them.
hi there, my captiva has an engine managent light on and wont start at all. Im suspecting a fuel filter fault as it has been struggling with power recently. will a blocked fuel filter prevent the car from starting all together?
Since normal cruising does not heat up the ATF fluid properly, I looked for another solution. Engage the parking brake (and use wheel blocks if necessary), shift into 2nd gear in manual mode (in 1st gear or "D" the neutral control function will disengage the transmission after 2 seconds), and run the engine for 10-15 minutes.
