This was in August. A good part of the bike road might still be snow covered in June. But you might get a more accurate information if you contact the locals.
Hello, thanks! We had the via ferrata equipment, but we rented the bikes at Trolltunga's visitor center. There, you can also rent the via ferrata equipment.
@@afjordrunsthroughit ah Ok, very good, and did you do it alone, without a guide? I saw that you made Loen's ferrata too, the same? no guide too? and, is it possible to go down walking? Thank you very much from Brazil
Thanks a lot for this document. I'll go there this year and, as I am an old guy, I was not sure that this hiking trail was possible for me. Thanks to your video, I now know that it is possible and even easy.
Yes, there are alternative routs for both suspension bridge and rope bridge. This can be useful for you: images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/5910467bd482e9ff42c975d3/1545302223881-QLCJTVKXRF20TRNDX299/Viaferrata_Loen_LoenActive+2019..jpg?format=1000w
I am planning to visit Norway in October. Pulpit Rock will surely be one of the place I want to visit. Should it be a good decision to come in mid October. Please suggest.
Check the weather one or two days in advance, have good cloths (assume a cold weather with possibility of rain and keep in mind that there usually is quite windy up there), and you are good to go.
@@mohitgupta980 I am not sure if there will be any shuttles for Preikestølen in October. You probably should contact them and ask about it. But if you want to make it more challenging and longer, you can take the ferries from Stavanger, get off on Brattlikaien, hike to Preikestølen cabins (at Preikestølen visitors center and stay over night. Visit Preikestølen the day after and get back to Brattlikaien on time to get the ferry back to Stavanger. It needs a good planning since there are only a couple of ferry departures every day and you need to book the cabins in advance.
It is possible to do it in a single day, assuming that one does not have problem acclimatizing. In that case you might need to descend towards Tochal cable car (Tochal Tele-cabin- 7th Station) and use the tele-cabin down to save some time. In case of staying overnight at Shirpala shelter, the price is about 1-3$ depending on the room (you should pay in cash with Iranian Tomans). The price for telecabin is about the same.
Great hike! We have many times been thinking about climbing Eikeknuten. I also recommends the neighboring mountain Skibufjellet which gives a beautiful view to Eikeknuten and Mjåvassknuten, and all other directions. mellombakkarogberg.net/2017/09/04/skibufjellet-843-moh/
Thank you. And thanks for the very useful website. We use it a lot specially for the locations not mentioned in ut.no. Skibufjellet is in our wishlist 😊
We also use other web sites. We also find it exiting to discover trails that are not described any where (or even make our own trails). Thats why we have established our own web site :)
