I don't know if it's true or apocryphal but the story goes that local New Yawk TV legend Joe Franklin had Ernest on his interview show and introduced him as "Ernest Borg-ninny" and Borgnine just smiled and walked out.

I can tell from your interviews and your travels on the bus, (The Sun Bum,) that you are a decent person, who loved life and your fellow human beings. David is so adorable. I love him so much. He's told me this story about Robin Williams many times and I absolutely believe it. He also got some of his puppets from Jim Henson and he used to be David's Christian Science Bible Lesson teacher. A lot of people don't believe this, either, but I am pretty sure it's true, as well.
Pretty sure most of his stories are at best highly embellished. He makes all these claims, but I’ve only ever seen him on Tim and Eric, random online music videos, have never heard of him being involved in anything else. I’m positive he was on public access TV, probably had a few bit parts in random sitcoms and was on Tim and Eric…everything else is probably fabrication.
do you really think he believes all his own bullshit? I've seen his "stand-up", it's... delusional ramblings and incomprehensible impersonations. If he didn't have his goofy Tim and Eric reputation, nobody would give him the time of day. No comedian is he...
Yeah, no joke. i've seen a profile of him on www.nndb.com .. and i think that he has one of the (if not THE) longest list of movies and tv-shows he's bin in and i wouldn't doubt that NNDB is missing on a few either. I first learned of him in the tv-series Airwolf and came across as the grandfather everyone wants to have. When i found out he played the bad guy, dirty cop ''lyle wallace'' in Convoy, it was awkward and hard to digest for me at first
So happy Michael R. is getting the attention he deserves, even before Slither I thought he was a great character actor, as well Dave B. is gotta get more action screen time in the next GOG movie!
