@@Chardonbois on this occasion I think it was around £100 but that’s only because I changed the spark plugs which in fairness probably didn’t need changing. The main fault was the one coil.
You knock the VW Scirocco but praise your mini which hasn't even got a decent engine but a Peugeot engine so at least the Scirocco has a great German engine in it and more solidly built
It’s merely banter. VW’s are great vehicles. I’ve had a few myself. I hear what you’re saying about the Peugeot engine in the Mini. I’ve heard many say the same.
Brilliant guide. Did mine today although quicker than you did it. 😂 I would add that the screws holding the speedo don’t need to be removed completely, just unscrew and they stay in situ somewhat which makes screwing the back in later very easy.
It would have been useful to mention parts and labour costs for replacing the sensor. Also, whether this repair could be a fairly straightforward DIY fix. Keep up the good work.
I thought I did add it to the description The part number on the box was as follows: 02 13 0483A 37 14 6 886 156 From what I saw during the repair it could be done DIY. Thanks for the comment 👍
LOL... the start of the how to was great... I thought someone died... mini owners have this passion for their metal family member... Great video... thank you.
Don't worry you will get a whole load of different problems with a mini. Nice bit of screwdriver polishing of the paint work there. Ha Good vid very useful.
Hi. I have since changed the car and now have a cooper S but changing all the gadgets did seem to help it. I had no intentions to get rid of this car until I saw the one I have now. I was teased in by the panoramic sunroof and heated seats.
Catch can worked for me. No more smoke on my N12. PCV replacement did not seem to do much for me. Very very important to not full mini past halfway on dip stick. My catch can was gulping oil until it hit 1/2 mark then started catching very little oil.
Hello, the footages are great , i am planning to buy however i am kinnda suspicious if it scratches the paint of car or give harm.Did you face anything like that, scratches or dents on your mini?i will use my iphone .By the way i have mini too, amazin cars:)
Hi There. I have had no issues with scratching of paint. I'd say the key is to make sure your car is clean before using. That would also assist the suction. If you are planning to do a fair distance I'd probably say go with the larger mount. This one.. amzn.to/3uqPAlv Also, I would imagine the iPhone footage would come out wobbly as heck as the stabilisation in iPhones aren't really up to this type filming. Could be wrong but don't expect epic results from it. Great to hear you're a fellow Mini driver. Love mine. What have you got? I'm considering a few cheeky upgrades this year once the weather improves. If they happen there might just be future videos covering it 🙂
Thank you for your advice,it means a lot to me.As a mini lover , i dont want anything give harm to my mini :) I am sure you understand what i mean as Mini Driver well you are totally right about ULANZI SC-02 .Iphone stabilisation can be tricky most of the time .I am gonna buy that. By the way i have Mini Countryman Signature 2023 however now i saw the 2024 NEW design of Electric Minis 2 days ago but i am not sure if i am gonna like it or not ,I think they look like so futuristic. What do you think about that?By the way your car look amazing too @@midlifemini
@alikanyilmaz nice! I’m unsure about the latest ones but I’d love to have a drive in the electric ones tbh. Thank you. Even though it’s a 2010 it certainly does feel that old. It’s had a fairly easy life tbh as it’s only just turned 71k miles. Needs a clean mind. Job for tomorrow I think 🤔 🤣
Hello, nice video! I really enjoyed how you've edited it. I also own the Osmo Action 4. Which was the resolution and settings that you've filmed this video!? 4K/60 fps? Rocksteady +? Thx! Cheers
Really happy you liked it. The OA4 is an incredibly good camera. This was all 4k 25fps. All other settings on auto. RS on dewarp as I’m not a fan of the whole fish eye look. I used to use the Sony ZV1 but atm this is my go to camera. My ambition is to team it up with the pocket 3 but that’s another day 🤣
Sure 4K 25FPS, Rock Steady, Auto White Balance, Auto exposure withy ISO 100-800. Colour mode: Normal and it was on standard dewarp. Sharpness -1, noise reduction -1
Hey. Thanks for the comment. To be honest I haven’t tried. I’ve only ever used it inside the car. That said I might try it for a new video on the channel soon 👍
Pleased it helped. It turned out quite an easy job. The hardest bit was the screws holding the speedo cover on. That’s the joy about these cars. They can be really tailored to how you want them. I’m still trying to sell the red trim from mine. Good luck with the job 👍
