I'm an amateur astronomer I've been studying comets and Asteroids since 1997. please tell me in more detail what did you see and how did you see it? did you take down information or record anything that you can give to N.A.S.A and help out ?

@@Horror_Film_Aficionado At the time a few days later when I saw no report anywhere I searched and astounded I contacted nasa JPl, many radio astronomy observatories, Esa, anything and anyone to do with asteroids basically, not a soul responded. I am 57 and on my honour and my life everything I said was truth.. all this took place within 15 seconds, or so. My children called for me to see something in the sky too big to be a plane, racing out I saw them pointing to a dark hazy mass very high in the east about half the size pf the full moon I could see was rapidly getting bigger, had no idea what it was of course and had no time to wonder as within a few seconds like a shadow it covered a third of the sky beyond ours, like a shadow and then it clarified into perfect vivid detail of an immense dark asteroid but it was no formless rock what I saw and why I say it was a coal dust dark, non reflecting fractured chunk of a moon or planet is because it was easily discernible as such by the afternoon sun angle illuminating its facing surface and side, its size and features I saw particularly the facing side cliff, you could see it was fractured part of something larger from the side cliffs unending both in passing and in their upward direction, the cliffs went up for literally hundreds if not thousands of kilometres and faded still not ending and seemed hundreds of thousands of kilometres in length as it passed by at tremendous speed, the same applies for the facing surface far edges which did not end either but faded into distance, surprisingly un cratered and appearing basically flat, the facing side cliff heights and length are the most astounding recollection, sharp edged and defined and dark, coal dark and unreflecting, vast beyond human comprehension, afterwards I tried to calculate its size and speed based on my own known observations of things like jets fighters passing high at speed and known top speed, meteors and there speed compared to what I saw and the size at the distance I perceived also in comparison and the time it took to pass and the result was its even more impossible in size and speed than I try to convey and I simply cannot convey its enormity or speed, just mind boggling, truly a chunk of a planet or moon, for ten seconds it covered a third of the sky continuously at immense speed before abruptly fading away, my first thought on realising what it was I was seeing was to get a camera but from its speed I knew I would have no time and besides it really looked like it was the end of the world, so I decided to just watch and soak it all up, frozen to the spot, a decision which has had me daily kicking myself for years and without proof its just an impossible and unbelievable event because everyone it seems knows how things work in space and everyone seems to know whats in space around the sun and it's just impossible for anyone to accept what I say.....I have gained nothing but mockery and ridicule from speaking of this and only do so because it is truth.. you can see the mars rush and proposed moon bases and they say its for colonisation but I am saying what I saw and know it is not. I realised not long after that the reason it was suppressed was panic, panic wont help anything, and after reading up on asteroids orbits and intersects and what I saw might indicate, and it indicated bad so I started saying we would soon see an attempt to get off earth under the guise of colonisation and it had to be Mars because the moon is way too close to survive and this is what you see happening right now, just without the panic of everyone really knowing why the rush.. in 2008 a few days later when I saw no report or mention of it anywhere on any news on the planet as I expected it to be the greatest event ever I contacted several radio astronomy observatories even one in Ireland, unfortunately I closed my original account and trashed all the info and drawings I made in frustration at the vitriolic attacks I was getting from this story a few years later, just had a gutful of the abuse and shut down and did not mention it again until Feb 2017 when a russian astronomer claimed basically the same thing and that we were all being deceived to its existence, that I can confirm true, and being 9 years to the month later after I saw what I did I conjecture it was no coincidence but the same object and should expect it back in feb 2026..
