Yeah, it is a little goofy (crazy,) but you'll be surprised at how often people in the room do the handshakes later in the meeting to get a laugh from the group!

Erick, sorry for the delay. Most of the "Shorts" don't get many comments, so I just missed your question. This is a short taken from the post www.leadersinstitute.com/three-stereotype-shattering-strategies-to-unite-a-diverse-team/. The three strategies are (1) Open lines of team communication. (2) Celebrate Achievements. and (3) Quickly deal with team conflicts.
Chase, don't miss the main point. Business owners will pay employees more if the employee can help generate more value or profit for the company. But if you just do the bare minimum, you'll only be able to demand the bare minimum of wages as well.
You do realize, we are at full employment (less than 4% unemployement). Why the hell would I work hard for pennies, when I can get a raise by working for your competitor across the street for the same job.
Thanks for the comment. I think I agree with you, but I don't think anyone is talking about working for pennies. What the video is saying is that if a higher level position comes open, a boss is more likely to promote the person who is the most productive. Even if you start out working for "pennies" at a company, you can change your lot very quickly by improving productivity. And your point is true. If you gain skills valuable to a competitor, your current company is more likely to pay you more to keep you. (Happens all the time.)
I was with you until 9:04 . A woman's choice for pregnancy is one that may include her own life. Forcing a woman to remain pregnant when it is fatal to her own life reinforces the idea that she is just a vessel and not a person, it reinforces that she has no basic rights, and that the people who can not ever be put in this position make life decisions about her body, health, and wellbeing.
Don't miss the point because you agree with the politics of the example. The point is that you want to be aware of language changes. This occurs when the person who is on the defensive changes the language to make their side more palatable. Maybe a better example would be a cheating spouse saying the act was an extramarital affair. Or, even a boss or coworker calling harassment constructive criticism. The person trying to con you will change the language to be pro-con artist and anti-"the other side". The language change is designed to get listeners to revert back to the first sign... Getting the person into a higher emotional state.
Remember that the very first sign is to "Be on Your Guard When Emotions Are High." The examples used are picked because they follow ALL of the signs. The point at that place in the video is that the Victims and the Villians get flip-flopped. In the video, I mentioned that someone who is anti-police will make a person with a long rap sheet of theft, assault, intimidation, harassment, etc. out to be the hero. The opposite may be true as well. Someone who is pro-police may make an incompetent, aggressive, maybe even racist cop out to be a hero. Some manipulation.
You bet, the entire series is posted at www.leadersinstitute.com/how-to-manipulate-people-7-signs-of-a-con-artist-you-need-to-know-to-avoid-being-a-victim/
Use keywords and articulate your speech through that. If you master this, your public speaking skills will take leaps and bounds. This is how successful stand up comedians become funny. They use a specific topic, and work their way around that.
Lol, this is one of a series of shorts that are easier to follow if you watch them in order. The full context is at www.leadersinstitute.com/how-to-manipulate-people-7-signs-of-a-con-artist-you-need-to-know-to-avoid-being-a-victim/
Yeah, the editing to fit into a short cut out a lot of the context. You can see the full point here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I9EjrsQiwYw.htmlsi=MROLfWctmG4hjMeW&t=1010. Other examples would be "Feel free to check my work" or "You're welcome to ask..." and then insert a source that would be impossible to ask. Or, even more common ones are, "You can trust me," "I'm tellin' the truth," or "I'm not joking," etc.
As someone who picks neither side in American politics, I have to say Trump is one of the most honest politicians I have ever seen elected. That's why all the government agencies hate him. Left wing politics is pure delusion and right wing is pure ignorance, but at least the right dont lie to themselves.
LOL, might be a good idea to see the full video versus the short. You can find it at ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-I9EjrsQiwYw.htmlsi=kn3Z0IQ8Oio11-t8
Thanks! In most cases, yup! Nothing ever gets done in a meeting. So if you can avoid meeting, you probably have better options. This short series, though is on how to make the meetings you have more efficient.
By the way the first half before the abortion talk, i didn't learn a single thing, it felt like you are just saying nothing of substance and you should rethink about how you do your videos. Take my critic or not, i do not care. But i felt like it needed to be said, you could improve, you have the personnality.
