Kuku is a high energy dance, I certainly give you guys respect for pulling off the movement, however, I thought the dance was missing soul. African dance certainly is for everyone (imho), but it's more than just movements. African dance is about feeling your ancestors (the ancestors) speak through you in movement. It does not matter what color you are, many of my white sisters murder African dance, they're awesome! We are the same because we pay respect to Africa (where we all migrated from). It's all about soul and soul doesn't care what color you are. Soul is the only thing the dance was missing, but it's the most important part. Soul can't be taught it has to be lived and felt. I wish you guys the best!!
Agreed! Technically sound, tempo was nice, costumes lovely, but I didn't feel it either & I've seen & worked with dancers that rock this in every size, shape & color! Are they part of the community or do they just dance??? Healing vibe is MIA

the guy who said that is not black, I was very critical while watching the video and I loved it, girls did a very good job in showing how sophisticated a tribe dance can be, these girls love the feeling of being liberated through african dance, there is a black guy too doing the drumming, I don't think he is there for the money. real black people dance on any music, black or white as long as there is a intro, a verse and a chorus, feeling low black dudes shouldn't worry, tribal is indeep..

too bad the sisters aren't open enough to stand proud for OUR dance...these women and drummers did a great job...coming from a teacher of KuKu...i teach this as a class and can barely get African American Women to enroll their children...we're too busy chasing ballet while others are mastering and respecting a beautiful craft.
