Welcome to Tse Chen Ling Center for Tibetan Buddhist Studies. Inspired by His Holiness, The Dalai Lama and our Spiritual Director, Lama Zopa Rinpoche, we provide teachings and practices in the Gelug lineage of Tibetan Buddhist tradition. We offer meditation and a wide range of Tibetan Buddhist studies and programs for people of all levels of interest in Tibetan Buddhism. The Tibetan language name of our center means “Land of Great Compassion” and was given to us by His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Tse Chen Ling is an affiliate of the FPMT, the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition, we are a 501c3 non-profit organization located in the Ingleside neighborhood of San Francisco.
The Lord Maitreya is indeed enlightened. This means that His present priorities focus on our immediate needs, i.e. sufficient of the right food, freedom from war, right relationships, saving this planet, etc. He tells us that the Self is our most important aspect, but when He appears on the public platform He will not at first speak of mystical/esoteric things because there is a world to save, and we must do it practically with His guidance.
I heard a telepathic voice in my head in 2018. It asked me to look up Maitreya. So I did, and found similarities between the prophecy of maitreya and myself. They are as follows: I moved to 7 countries after I was born. Civil unrest or war after I left. "Lotus blooms" 32 marks on My body (moles) Tall with high cheek bones Has one brother and one sister Entered trance state while in meditation in my early 20's. I had stigmata in my hands in 2006 Jaw like a lion (I have a unique jaw line) Webbed toes (two of my toes are webbed) The emergence of 40 sages (I have made contact with sasquatch, some are sages) I wrote 5 treatises (stories) I'm left handed and often sit with my left foot forward I have a curl to my hair (when its long) I don't know what to make of it, there are quite a few similarities, pretty wild.

Geshey la, your talk on Je Tsongkhapa is truly impressive. I feel it is very deep yet easy to understand. I think it's because your clear knowledge of Tsonghkapa and your great commend over English language. Thank you, Geshey la.
During Tsongkhapa's time, did lay people practice with the same intensity as monastics, or at least try to accomplish insights, tantra, and the path of the Lamrim? Great talk! Much appreciation Tse Chen Ling Community and Thupten Jinpa for sharing this wisdom.
Thanks Osel, I think I'll stick with my meds. Great talk, it's always the hero telling the story of the Dharma, but the little people need to learn how to live it. So real! ❤
Since most men don't reproduce and don't have sex perhaps it's advantageous to prevent the full ordination of women so that the society can survive otherwise as Western countries are showing the reproduction rate drops below replacement levels very quickly. Also, if you were a serious practitioner why would you be born female? There is no advantage to being a woman if you are not going to be a mother.
I agree that Dr. Thutten Jinpa is a well verse in Lamaism. But he is lacking in true Buddhism. Because he believes in spirits, deities, reincarnations, bardo, prayer flags, butter lamps, smoke offerings, prayer wheels etc. These are rituals mixed of Hinduism and Bon. A true Buddhist is follower of Buddha's path.
Geshe Thupten Jinpa la is the best modern Lotsawa (Tibetan: ལོ་ཙཱ་བ, Wylie: lo tsA ba) is a Tibetan word used as a title to refer to the native Tibetan translators.
What fortune to discover these amazing teachings online! Thank you so much for your hard work of organizing them and uploading to share with sentient beings. Much blessings!
