Building a community of people who want to build their own houses or buy houses in Africa. This community also focuses on the entire value chain. Artisans, real estate owners and more!
This Nigerian builder sounds legit! To those in the comments section Nigeria is not as bad as you are suggesting it’s just a bigger city and every Ghanaian problem is proportional in Nairaland
It's a shame and unfortunate the we treat each other. This is a son of the mother land- Africa. h He's come to make his home in Ghana and look at how greed and selfishness of his own kith and kin has treated him. My brother you've done well. despite all the harassment you were brave and did not let them push you over. You prevailed and got your property. Bravo!
I have done the assessment and found out that Accra or Ghana in general is the most expensive country in Africa, especially, for renting or buying properties. Also, while Nigeria is extremely cheap in this aspect, even Liberia as a small country is more costly than Nigeria

I just found out about Polystyrene ceilings and I hear it’s very cost effective and and has a longer life span than P.O.P . Could you please do a video about polystyrene ceilings vs P.O.P ceilings and could you suggest any companies that do polystyrene ceilings in Ghana. Thanks
I sold a plot of land and bought the land for our home. The rest of the money was used to kick-start the building. When the money ran out, my husband's salary filled up. We moved in once the windows and doors were in place. We didn't want to renew the lease on the apartment we lived in. Moving into the uncompleted house made it easier to monitor the work of the artisans and our materials.
It's because Ghana has failed to adopt new technologies that make building affordable. It's always blocks and iron rods. Other countries like Kenya and Tanzania they have adopted easy to build homes and affordable
Hand on heart, Ghanaian men do not respect professional skill sets. Whether you are building them a website or designing a house, they always think they know better. They talk when they should listen. They know how to build a house because their father built a house. Money is usually tight, and it is the professional services like structural engineer, architects and quantity surveyors who are jettisoned first. The mason or draughtsman will draw the plan. If you don't use professionals, you will pay more for basic errors.
