I appreciate these comparisons because I'm in love with the idea of the GFX, but a Nikon Z8 or Sony A7rV would probably be smarter choice for me overall, budget and sanity wise.
Actually in this video I found the iPhone had most of the best results. -> For Me. Color rendition. HDR Dynamic Range. Skin tones. etc… Take a look at the Jeans Jacket comparison. iPhone nailed the hair detail too. 2:07
I've worked with both the r5 was atrocious constant black screens err70 overheating horrendous autofocus. Look when you got a 2000lb elephant literally standing in front of the camera and it focuses on a street light or another security camera above then something is clearly and highly wrong with Canon especially with those many problems. It made working with it an absolute nightmare. When I used the Sony it was a night and day difference compared to Canon everything ran much more smoothly on the Sony especially the autofocus
Thank you so much for this! I was never considering the ambient light exposure when using an external flash and the images turned exactly like you'd shown. Going to try and apply this the next time I rent a speed light.
What's the added benefit of the colorreader instead of just taking a color calibrated photo and then digitally picking the color? Is it really worth the $50?
Great instructional video. Have you done a video on using high speed synch? I like the longer lens because you can get sharp photos with nice bokah. But the longer lens is too heavy for me to walkaround with so I will have to stick to my 85mm prime and use my feet to zoom.
This is an excellent review. If I needed to make one change it would have been to include the size and weight of comperable lenses; because a camera is nothing without its lenses, and lense selection (focal lengths and sizes) are important factors to influence a purchase decision.
Sorry for looking this video. But RU-vid suggested it and I couldn´t stop ist, it was too good. But I´m in future to replace my A6400 with the A6700, nice to see that is a good decison.
Love this! Thank you for sharing these creative ideas because I’ve had these style lights for so long and rarely use them, but now I’m inspired to knowing these tips!
I have recently decided to take a huge gamble and pursue photography full time as a 30 year old starting from nothing. I think I have a good eye, but I’m a complete beginner. Your channel is a savior. I’m learning so much from you-thank you so much for not gatekeeping this information and putting it in a format that feels comfortable to listen to and easy to understand.
So what size sensor are you using with this 50mm? Is the lens intended for a full frame camera? If it is, and you use it on an APC sensor, then it will become closer to a 70 or 75m focal length.
I love my Tamron lens. I wish that this would be available for Canon RF. So many lenses coming out for the Sony e-mount. Great review. Thank you for the tips too. All the best.

Hello The Slanted Lens, I'm in the position to the purchase a used XID 50 C at considerable discount, I was wondering if you could recommend one lens to go with my purchase, since my budget could not allow multiple Hassie lenses. Thanks, this video was most helpful!
