I am a T4 complete (ASIA A) and I was injured on June 6th, 2015th. This channel is designed to help those that are recently paralyzed see that life does go on. I remember being in the hospital and having quite a bit of anxiety about pretty much everything relating to taking care of myself. I want the newly injured to see that you WILL be able to do what you need to do to take care of yourself and more.
I also want to be accessible to those with questions. The best way to ask questions is to message me through my facebook page at facebook.com/livingwithparalysis. But if you want the conversation to be public to help others, then just comment below each video.
i will leave you with this verse from quran with a nearly identical wisdom replicating what you said that when people are in big disasters they call out for god but then they don't talk about it when god saves them [It is He who enables you to travel on land and sea until, when you are in ships and they sail with them by a good wind and they rejoice therein, there comes a storm wind and the waves come upon them from every place and they expect to be engulfed, they supplicate Allāh, sincere to Him in religion, If You should save us from this, we will surely be among the thankful., But when He saves them, at once they commit injustice upon the earth without right. O mankind, your injustice is only against yourselves, [being merely] the enjoyment of worldly life. Then to Us is your return, and We will inform you of what you used to do.] chapter yunis verse 22 and 23
I tried to get into my bed without using my legs and it made me wonder what it was like for someone who can’t actually use their legs. Much harder than I thought it might be. Kudos to you.
I can completely sympathize with you, because I've been through a similar situation. I'm a t6 para from a motorcycle accident. I was much like you, I could do almost anything with my hands. The toughest transition was to go from being completely capable to quite needy. It's humbling and awakening at the same time. You're in my prayers, brother! ❤🙏
Thank you for your testimony. I suffered an incomplete spinal cord injury 2 years ago. Being a nurse I always cared for others, I now needed others to care for me. I was humbled. I almost gave up several times. I never thought my future would be using a wheelchair and walker. I have to admit my faith had waived. One day I just started talking to God more, I had almost always talked to him before my injury however, half-heartedly. I know now for fact, He does answer prayers. God be with you and grant you peace. 😊❤
As a fellow Christian and a biker chick I so love this testimony. I am clawing my way out of depression and anxiety right now but I know Jesus will stay with me every step of the way.
That's amazing! I certainly can't do that now at 61 years old, 22 years post injury. You've been through a tremendous life change! I experienced a similar situation, with a similar injury. My spiritual awakening happened as well, and Father has shown me both Truths about this world as well as Truths about Him. The truth of who we are and who He is is far different from what we've been taught. The kingdom of heaven is within you (Luke 17:20-21). Thanks for sharing on your channel!
Well, then, don't be so vague and bashful. If you have a message you need to articulate it for yourself and others, otherwise you've not accomplished what you could have. You have no videos on your page whereas others do.
Those pillowtops are great for grabbing. That is pretty much my, I ended up visiting the floor, techniques. When it's colder my shoulders tend to hurt. That technique is good for elbow crawling deeper on to the bed. Helps avoid extension stress. Thanks for sharing. Be well.
