At “85 Going on 45”, Wes Warwick presents his collection of off-trail photos and videos of the American Southwest. Capturing the fleeting vision of Mother Nature’s obscure and bizarre colorful formations, he also shares much of the historical Native American art located there.
Defying so-called age limitations or other physical discomforts, he spends much of his time where the average tourist never goes - into canyons, rivers and beaches - filming its most off-grid, dramatic beauty.
Thanks for the comment. Ideally, you are right, but the ordinary viewer drops out before 60 seconds goes by. If life were perfect, I would show each rock art pic up to 1 minute. Thanks again for responding and again - you're right! Best, Wes
Thanks so much for responding and yes, I see them the same. Hope you pursue more of them, it's exciting and worth the effort. Maybe you'll find many that I missed. Best, Wes
Thanks Wes! Do you think there might be an option to sell some of these as files to print? I'd love to have a print of 1:32 for example, the pictures are wonderful!
Thanks for the comment. Yes, I have given only slight thought of going commercial. It's like going back into business - I've been there before, but retired now. If you would like a copy of that photo, I'll be glad to give it to you (Let me know) but if you've got any ides about selling some of them - 1,000s - let me know also. Thanks again for your response. Best, Wes
I don't think there is a perfect way to prevent vandalism as I am driven - in this vid - to encourage interested rock art enthusiasts to explore and visit these remote sites. But, we must honor and respect these sites and be vigilant to discourage the vandals and set an example by our concern and attitude. I really am not sure how to eliminate them. Thanks so much for your interest, concern and enthusiasm in OUR continued effort. Best to you, Wes
@@off-trailsouthweston1778 Its been years so Im not sure. A bit off subject I did go to DIno National Park. Stumbled upon it. This was all before easy GPS on phones. Be well.
Glad you did not tell the people on the internet exactly where they are. We will have destroyed and stolen wall pieces, And beer cans, styrofoam and other trash because kids nowadays ❤
Thanks so much for the comments. I particularly appreciate your approach in protecting the N.A. art! That's why I presented it as I did. Thanks again and best to you, Wes
Great video, beautiful shots and no BS. I am grateful for that so thank you. And You clearly have gas left in the tank so dont stop getting after it. peace.
Thanks for your response and comments. It's great - I can tell - from your vids that you have passion for your work and talent too. Thanks for that. Best, Wes
Thanks for asking. These places dominate the Colorado Plateau/Southwest. It depends on which part you're asking. Email me - weswarwick@verizon.net -- for more specific locales. Best, Wes
"Idk cant explain it " is the feeling I feel Vincent van Gogh had while painting or the things he seen. Just cant explain that feeling but its one you chase your whole life. Much love from Tennessee love these little videos! Cya out there!
You got it! One place they call Moonscape Overlook. A place that astronauts train for space travel to other "Moonscape" terrains. Thanks for the comment. Best, Wes
I just started and fell in love with this hobby for a month, now I wanna do it for the rest of my life, cheers grandpa from the other side of the world 🤘
I could just live in his mind! I'm 71 and have travelled all over the world with a thousand stories to tell. No one wants to listen. No one cares to learn. I only wish to pass on what I learned as this man has so beautifully done.
WOW! You really hit home with me. It's been THE MOST emotional response I've gotten from my multiple youtube efforts - I'm dead serious. Thanks so much for responding. I'd really like to connect with you. Where do you live? My # 951-301-9920. One comment: I used to suffer from the same "No interest" response from my adventures until I finally started my youtube site (initially from a commercial approach) then realized that very few people really cared, so I did it as a self-centered/hobby and fun project and it's worked. I do what I want and if I can stir up others, I've succeeded! There are very few of us, but have had up to 33k responses to some. I'm definitely into what makes me happy and productive. Hope we can connect again. Best, Wes
Hey guys, thanks for the response. I haven't been up 395 for a few years. Will think of stopping by sooner than later next time I go up. Good to hear from you and sure glad you're still "At it!" Best to both, Wes
WOW! In addition to thanking you for your comments is your remarkable and well done vid on Tre Cime. My late wife and I found our favorite climbing spot in Europe was the Dolos. I subscribed. Thanks again. We have the same soloing heart and best to you, Wes
Thanks for the comments. I have a North Face "T" shirt that has a tent on the front with the caption "Never stop sleeping around." Best to you and thanks again, Wes
