Sailing with the storm aren't be encourage able means, as yet I was not totally familiar with the storm waves as yet not even attempting to engage a small craft with blue water capable labels although all craft can be sink in a matters of risk and misadventures
Tolles unaufgeregtes Video!
Terrible sail trim on the Comfortina! The wind is pushing the stern down in the waves. It looks like she is sailing with a furled headsail (as also will take a big load on the fractional rig, when mainsail totally reefed). Sailing in these conditions, she should have been prepared with a hank on storm sail and she would have done just fine.
I’d rather be in a well built classic wooden sailboat any day. Just feels better. Like a well worn leather glove v.s. a new nylon synthetic one. (If that makes sense?). But in the emd its about the proper over-all design …yes?
My Dad was a skilled boat builder, highly skilled craftsman, and engineer. He loved working with wood and was building a 28ft yacht for us, our family; but sadly it was never completed. Seeing this footage means so much as I can understand his vision, and how magnificently it would have handled and looked had he been able to complete his work and sail her. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you for sharing.
That wood boat looks alot like my 1971 32 ft Challenger sailboat. It's almost exactly the same except with luscious wood exterior. What t kind of boat is the wood one. The other looks like a Swan or. Hood.

That wooden boat is walking away from the fiberglass but the wooden boat I think is like 35 ft maybe 37 to where the fiberglass looks like it's only 30 ft
Herrlich!
Does anyone know the name of the designer, builder or model-name of the woodie? Or have any other information on it? Or know where I could find such information? A beautiful boat.
