I had a new motor put in my 1989 Pontiac Grand Am. I think my flex plate is coming off and because the motor and transmission are going from tire to tire how serious is that?
@EfurdGarage Needed it worked on, found a mechanic, talked to him about what needed fixed, set up an appointment. It's set there for about two weeks and then he bailed on me. Why? He said I had already started working on it. I said so. He said there's a wire hanging down and he don't do that. I said that's a starter wire, you can't handle a starter? Pathetic.
@EfurdGarage Found this one that was really great.Then they sold it and my car sat there for 2 weeks. I went and back and got it. They never said a word and I never got my keys back.
I was very fortunate and able to buy a brand new 1964 GTO, Two Door Hard Top, 4 speed, Tri power, Posi rear from Royal Oak Pontiac, in Michigan! They put their own “Royal BobCat Package” in the motor before I ever picked it up! In N. Jersey it was KING with 4.33 Getz gears in the rear and Hooker Headers! I was also able to order 2.20 4 speed instead of the 2.56 4 speed! Back then you could really put together a decent street machine for very little! When I sold it, it had a 421 in it and FLEW! ! ! Thank You “GOD”! ! !
@ 2::23 of your video the first disconnection you did? I can’t seem to just push the pins in and pull back so effortlessly as you did. I need tips on a solution. Because mine don’t seem to push in so the easy do that I may continue with my removal and replacement
@@RELLERELL may have to wiggle it a bit and move it back and forth a few times to get it to come loose. It could have dirt in there so maybe try blaster or wd40 and clean it out
Well there are some dirt track guys making power out of them. but simple way a k&n not cheap brand cold air intake, and cat back exhaust will net a few
I’m so nervous to do this but I can’t afford to have it done . So I’m going to try thank you for the education on getting her done . I had a mechanic work on the car he didn’t put that cover back on right and we ate gas for months till we figured out it was a vacuum seal so those are tricky. They have to be put back on properly thank you for your education on this .

Two of my favorite cars right there!!! White Car blower with a bird catcher and the Red car, blower with dual carbs and looks like a small block, Is that right Terry?
@@robertclymer6948 they are cool cars. Both cars are pontiac powered and supercharged. The white one is hemi headed and well makes a bit more then the other
@@EfurdGaragethe white one is the hemi. The red one is not. The hemi runs pretty well. Not as wicked as I had personally expected though. But it is in a gasser. I wonder how that engine would do in a promod body? I love how it sounded going down that track! I watched the video several times lol
@@thecarguy2470 Well both still have traction issues. the white one could be in the 8s with a little more work on the car. But yea take it out of the all steel gasser and put it in something else it would be crazy
