ah...would we rather crash into dry land or into water...well on dry land i guess we all agree there will be damage but in water i guess if you disconnect the battery quickly and dry the electronic mechanisms out you might get lucky....i guess u could drown geting to the model if u were not carefull wheras on land you walk up to your heli remains and collect it in a bag or your jumper.
I have a zx6r and it making a clanking sounds only in 2nd gear when I get on the gas but if I pull the clutch in and rev you don’t hear it and it’s only in 2nd gear I have it on my page to
Oi amigo me dê uma informação como e fasso pra enroscar as artes preta nós links que vai no servo está entrando torto e o cabo do esc está curto pra levar até o receptor
Hi ,own zx6r 08 ,cluth is not slipping and is changing good but after getting hot a whistle noise came from clutch when the clutch is pressed, need to change the clutch?
One of the better chain videos but 1¾ inch chain slack is the largest amount ive ever heard of on a road bike. My FZ8N says 25 to 30mm or about 1 inch.
@InernalCombustion that was sarcasm... you measure/inspect them because there is a service limit listed in the manual. If you like throwing away potentially good parts, go ahead and replace everything. Why bother measuring brakes, why not change oil every ride?
@@ColinBell321 right but I'm assuming people buy a clutch kit, unless you can buy individual clutch plates.....🤣. You mean to tell me that every time your clutch slips you buy an entire clutch kit and use one or 2 of the plates?
@InernalCombustion fair point 😆. This was a race bike, and I had a bin full of spare plates. Ones that measured bad got tossed, and the good ones saved for a later date.
This is an annual/consumable part on a race bike. And on principle, I don't like throwing away good parts. If they still have life left in them, they get used.
He said you will need one in the beginning if you were paying attention. Though he didn't use one because it's clearly not his first rodeo but feel free to use one if you must. He is not your mechanic nor is responsible for anything you do
Good grief folks. TORQ SPECS are indentified in YOUR Service Manual. Each bike is different. While some specs will be the same, many are not. And if you can't afford a $120 (or less) Service Manual, at least get off your lazy ass and go down to your dealer and request a Torq Spec printout!!
If you are removing the front wheel, why the heck would you rest the calipers on top of the wheel? That makes no sense at all. Get some bungee cords and suspend the calipers from your handlebars or some other secured point. Not the wheel.
The forks may have been pre-loaded inboard at the last seal change and took a seat. Now that the fork has been allowed to relax and align, the seal is not doing its job. I'd do a full fork service - the bushings could be worn also. Any movement in the piston with relation to the outer tube will identify bushing wear. If the bushings are good... just swap seals. Go with OEM, I've yet to see aftermarket last as long.
@@ColinBell321 thanks for the fast replay, the bike that I bought is a zx9r, and the guy who sold me said that he had a crash last year and that the front forks got "repaired", but clearly they aren't good, I found a orginal front fork from a zx9r from the same year is it better to buy it and replace the entire fork? Isn't that expensive around 200 euros what do you think?
@ak9784 for 200 euro it'd be a toss up as to what's more expensive. If the fork pistons are found bent, you'll need a new set anyway. If you twist the fork tubes in a full 360, is there any wobble?
@@ColinBell321 yes there is, and also I notice after 160-170 km/h(105mph) the front part od the bike starts to shake a little bit especially when I start braking at high speeds, btw the 2 front braking discs and 4 pads are new so it shouldn't be shaking like that when I brake
@ak9784 sounds like the forks are bent. I'd go for the new set. If the front shakes at high speed, the wheel could be out of balance, or slightly bent.
Unbelievable how those things stay together under all that stress. I’m stressed just watching it! 🤣🤣🤣 Amazing control. So, the helicopter can do basically whatever pops into your mind, eh? Cheers, John
I bought a 04 zx-6r, drove great and shifted good for the first couple rides till one I turned it off and went to first gear with the clutch and it just died, I can see the clutch moving in the casing but it still dies and when the bike is off there is still some resistance to movement with the clutch lever fully engaged. Not sure what could be the issue or what's causing it not to fully disengage the clutch? Your help would be great.
Your video is a little better than most that I've seen I'm a beginner to motor bikes but I've spent over 30 years working on hot rods so far your video is the best
What break in time and top speed or rpm can go after get new clutch I was told 6 rpm and 500 miles ... maybe thats wrong or maybe it doesn't matter ? Sucks driving slow maybe some one has better info then what I was told or if some one can confirm it is just what it is. 2022 zx10r
Thanks for the kind words. I'm just flying for fun now, mostly with fixed wing turbines. The OMP helis are ideal for casual flying in the yard... I've been having a ton of fun with them this year!
I took me about 10 ft of wire and screw ups to get a decent result, don't get discouraged if you mess up... A lot lol. Biggest help from this video was the manual twist to sink that wire closer to the bolt head, thanks!
☠BLACK BARON☠ 7:35 It's not easy to unmount this stuff in scale helicopters (600-800size) to check and exchange plastic gears and ball bearings if it starts making strange noises.
My clutch cable broke I was able to get a replacement, wasn’t the same one I had but it works, now my bike won’t speed passed 60-70mph it just redlines if I full throttle even if I shift it up to 6th gear it doesn’t want to go passed 60mph, can it be cause of my clutch? I know before I was having issues getting my bike into gear when I try an do a pull. It like slips
Hi Colin watching you from Portugal. Great Video. Bought an accidented (small) ZX6R with 50KKm couldnt engage the clutch and after moving ajusting cable screws plus pressing several times the cluch lever it worked. While riding the bike when i wanted to acelarate fast it would increase rpms but not the speed. Slipping I guess. Next day clutch had a litle course, bike would start moving slowly and, after some tries, I could engage 1st gear but releasing the lever the bike would not move even when accelerating. Any advice, would you say this is a clutch problem? Cheers and keep up with your great videos.
@@ColinBell321 Not really, but due to your first answer I opened the full system cleand it, considering that the bike didn't work for a little while, and...solved. God Bless.
@@ColinBell321 metal hammer, metal punch. Metal on metal, on a bearing, nope. I'm not saying your bearings wont be perfectly fine and i'm sure you did it with great care but as for making an educational video showing people to hammer your bearings in with a punch.... nah mate.
It won't hurt the bearing whatsoever. If you push it in with a socket and press, you're still metal on metal, and using more force (assuming you don't use heat).
I think what he’s getting at is you should A) use an object that will cover the entire surface of the bearing (socket) Or B) use a softer metal/ material so you don’t gouge the bearing While you were cautions, somebody could watch this, try it, not proactive great care, and be made at you that their bearing got chewed up
