@@ColinBell321 metal hammer, metal punch. Metal on metal, on a bearing, nope. I'm not saying your bearings wont be perfectly fine and i'm sure you did it with great care but as for making an educational video showing people to hammer your bearings in with a punch.... nah mate.
It won't hurt the bearing whatsoever. If you push it in with a socket and press, you're still metal on metal, and using more force (assuming you don't use heat).
I think what he’s getting at is you should A) use an object that will cover the entire surface of the bearing (socket) Or B) use a softer metal/ material so you don’t gouge the bearing While you were cautions, somebody could watch this, try it, not proactive great care, and be made at you that their bearing got chewed up
Pls help my spacer was too tight when i put the second bearing in. They seized up. So then i cut the spacer too short and now i have to replace that. Why is the spacer too long now?
