Did you use adhesive (gum) before tacking the applique?

No. I didn't use gum. I only pinned the patches to the neckline before tacking.

It’s not clear, the part with the belt.

To fix the belt, mark from the shoulder to the waist point on both sides, then from the center at the waist point mark a quarter of your waist measurement to one side and quarter your waist measurement to the other side. On these two points you will fix your belts. You will attach the belt to the front only.
